Counseling is a growth process in which a professional journeys with you as you seek comfort, understanding, and insight. A deepening of self-knowledge through therapy, the exploration of alternatives and the development and practice of coping skills, all from a Christian perspective, help to facilitate this process. Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly, and interesting place where our senior citizens can come and spend some time with other seniors. New friendships have been made and some old friendships have been renewed. Various activities are sponsored by St. Matthew Parish during the morning hours. The City of San Antonio, Department of Human Services, Senior Services Division, provides the center members with a nutritious lunch. Monday – Bingo Tuesday - Bunco, Dominoes, Light exercise class (on designated days) Wednesday- Bingo. Wednesday - Quilting Group for beginners to experienced quilters. Thursday – Jewelry Making, Mexican dominoes, Art Group Friday – Bingo
Membership is available to any senior who is 60 years of age or older. Please Note: Our Senior Center is not capable of caring for those seniors with special needs. Members of St. Matthew Senior Center need to be able to participate in the activities of the Senior Center without requiring specialized attention to their needs.

The St. Vincent De Paul Center is located across the parking lot from the Administration Building on the parish grounds and is the social service center for the entire parish community. The St. Vincent De Paul Society seeks to help those that are in need. The center is able to provide food, clothing, furniture, and limited financial assistance on an individual basis. Donations are always welcomed and can be dropped off during operating hours. The most important donation you can make is your time, talent, and prayer.
Must reside within parish boundary.
