The Presa Community Center offers a variety of programs serving youth, seniors, individuals and families. Through a comprehensive approach to working with people, we partner with them to address their immediate needs, then they identify their long-term goals and begin learning how to manage the resources they have available to them.

A Community Health Worker provides the link between an organization and the community. They are valuable for information dissemination, research, client follow-up, and access to resources.

  • A thorough curriculum that focuses on communication, advocacy, interpersonal issues, service coordination, organization, teaching, capacity building, and health education.
  • Exposure to local area organizations that are making a difference in the community.
  • Certification by the State of Texas as a Community Health Worker when you complete the 160-hour course.

A registration fee of $150 is due at time of application submission and will be applied to students’ balance.

Tuition: $700.00
Due by Class Census Date; Typically Monday after start of class

Looking for a job and need to update your resume? Need to keep in touch with a loved one serving overseas in the military?

Our lab has internet-connected computers, outfitted with Microsoft Office. (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, etc.) A printer is also available.

Sessions are limited to one hour at a time when others are waiting.

AED with Adult CPR Course teaches AED and how to use barrier devices in CPR and give first aid for choking for responsive adult victims.

First Aid teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

Workplace/Group Training
If you have a group of 12 that needs cost effective CPR/AED & First Aid training at your location, please email or call us for a quote. Training time runs 2.5 hours for Adult CPR/AED & First Aid. This class is OSHA compliant and standard training for all workplaces. Bilingual instructor and Spanish only class also available.

Community Training
We conduct affordable CPR/AED & First Aid training once a month. This class is recommended for everyone including teachers, employees, coaches, etc. Only 12 seats available per class.

Cost: $85.00 business check, money order or cash (please bring exact change)

Current VIAtrans customers can order curbside grocery pick-up and schedule their ride through VIAtrans at (210) 362-5050. Please make your curbside reservation with the grocery store before scheduling a trip on VIAtrans.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis and social distancing, older adults and individuals with disabilities may get a ride to grocery stores offering curbside delivery/pickup. The service is provided by a group of entities: VIA and the PRESA Transportation Coalition (PRESA Community, Ride Connect Texas, St. Gregory the Great, Greater Randolph Area Senior Program, and Kirby Senior Center).

Must be a VIAtrans customer.

The Partnership provides ongoing training and mentoring for emerging parent leaders. The training covers a wide variety of topics, including understanding how to help your child succeed academically, child development, adolescent development, sexual abuse awareness and prevention and other key topics identified by our parent leaders.

The Partnership operates in 12 schools: SAISD: Green Elementary, Herff Elementary, Highland Hills Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Riverside Park Elementary, Smith Elementary, Page Middle, Rogers Middle and Young Women’s Leadership Academy; SSAISD: Kindred Elementary, Palo Alto Elementary and Kazen Middle School.

The Partnership provides fun, free activities for families, including Movie Nights, Game Nights and other fun events.

PRESA Transportation Coalition will provide rides for curbside grocery pickup for older adults and individuals with disabilities Mon-Fri, 8am-3:00pm.

AFTER you have scheduled your grocery pick-up time, you may then contact PRESA Transportation Coalition at 210-532-5554 to schedule your pick-up ride.

Older Adults and persons with disabilities can use this service to attend doctors’ appointments, shop for groceries, visit loved ones, or do other things to maintain a great quality of life. Our mission in providing rides is to help people maintain their independence.

60 years of age + & individuals with disabilities are eligible to use the service.

We recommend making reservations at least two weeks in advance. The program is very popular & fills up quickly! The charge is $5 per trip/ $10 round trip.
