Somerset Senior Citizens Center is the focal point for seniors who reside in unincorporated areas of Southern Bexar County.
We focus on enhancing the quality of lives of our senior members and community by promoting nutrition and providing transportation and social services in a safe environment.
You will need a vehicle to help with all the food. Large distribution of food!

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program provides supplementary United States Department of Agriculture food packages to the low-income elderly of at least 60 years of age.

Free box fans are provided to senior citizens in an effort to provide heat relief and prevent heat-related illness during the hot summer months, please call the United Way Helpline at 211.

Somerset Senior Center provides transportation services to and from the center at no cost to the member in partnership with Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) and Bexar County Community Block Development Grant (CDBG.) We also provide weekly trips to local businesses located in the City of Somerset.
