CRS provides classes in practical English for adults to help newly arrived refugees navigate their new home. Lower levels include topics such as greetings, basic conversational language structures, the calendar, numbers, and health, with an emphasis on vocabulary building. Higher units of study include vocabulary for everyday needs, such as words needed in the grocery store, bank, post office, or doctor’s office and how to navigate housing and transportation.
This program is for legally resettled refugees.
Students pay a $10 supply fee each term.
