Prosumers of San Antonio (Nonprofit )

A Prosumer is a person who is proactive in their recovery and gives back to the community. We meet together to figure out how to live life in spite of any challenges we may face. We hold monthly empowerment meetings to gain skills to live a full life. People can find recovery on accident. We believe people need to find recovery on purpose.

Prosumers of San Antonio is a local chapter of Prosumers International.

Online and Virtual Assistance
At each Journaling Group meeting, a short quote or statement is either spoken or shared on the screen, and the participants can write about it. Typically, several such opportunities are shared during the hour-long meeting. If the participants so choose, they can talk about what they wrote with the group. This group helps people find their "ah-ha!" moments.

Prosumers is a place where recovery happens! Everyone is in recovery from something. We have FREE empowerment meetings to inspire people to live their dreams! We start with a lite lunch to build community and personal relationships. Then, we hold a two-hour empowerment meeting! You will leave inspired!

Laughter Yoga is a great stress reliever--and you don't even need to hear anything funny for it to work.

Laughter Yoga is an intentional exercise involving movement and breathing to promote voluntary laughter. Laughter can be faked, and the human body and mind don't know it's faked.

When done in a group, the contagious element of laughter quickly spreads to other people nearby, and the group gets the benefit of breathing in fresh air, expelling stale air, and our brains release endorphins--all of which make us feel better and less stressed.

Just a conversation with whoever joins the group that day. We talk about significant things like our recovery challenges and also things like our pets, the weather, etc. It's friendly and uplifting!

We practice the art of mindfulness as doing one thing at a time. We make craft items out of simple things like paper, and colored pencils, and use scissors and glue sticks. The results are fun small projects that the class finds enjoyable.

The first hour is an interactive game; the last hour is Trivial Pursuit. Some games may award prizes. Often the participants work in teams and collaborative on answers.

Prosumers always has volunteer positions available. While those are not as prominent  during the time of COVID 19, but we still have some. You would be working from home doing various jobs. A computer and a phone are helpful tools to do the work.
