San Antonio Community Resource Directory
The Grace Tree Foundation (Business )

The Grace Tree Foundation is committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our platform to help those recover from trauma symptoms in our community.

We measure our success not by monetary size but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts to help those in the under-served community of San Antonio and surrounding areas who normally would not be able to attend or afford our services. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

Our licensed and certified professionals (Viana Mora holds an international designation of C-IAYT under the International Association of Yoga Therapists) make up an organization like no other. Grace Tree was the first trauma-sensitive and somatic movement organization in the trenches of the community as servant leadership volunteers, this is what passion looks like in Bexar County.

In many cases, our volunteers have experienced trauma recovery first-hand and serve trauma survivors with open hearts and true empathy.

Our pro bono and sliding scale programs make trauma-specialized services affordable for anyone.

Somatic Experiencing® offers a framework to assess where a person is “stuck” in the fight, flight, freeze responses, and provides clinical tools to resolve these fixated somatic disordered states.

Somatic Experiencing® uses an incremental approach to revisiting trauma to help people build awareness, coherence, and self-regulation. The result is a deeper understanding of the body/mind connection with an improved ability to release and regulate emotions.

Somatic Experiencing® also helps manage stress, resolve issues related to trauma, heal from and navigate life transitions and relationships, and it build resilience.
