Our Mission
To provide a fun, clean, and beautiful environment free of physical and economic barriers that all individuals can come to and enjoy regardless of age or ability.

Our Vision
Every day we work to provide an extraordinary place where smiles and laughter lead to wonderful memories with family members, friends, and caregivers. We want Morgan’s Wonderland to be a place where the common element of play creates an atmosphere of inclusion for those with and without disabilities while encouraging everyone to gain a greater understanding of one another.

The park offers free admission to all guests with special needs.

Morgan’s Wonderland More than Just a Theme Park
A place for people of all abilities to play. It is the world’s first theme park designed for people of all ages and all abilities. There is truly something for everyone, from a wheelchair-accessible Ferris wheel to catch-and-release fishing.

Morgan’s Inspiration Island is a revolutionary splash park that is built accessibility-first. This tropical island paradise has colorful splash pads, waterproof wheelchairs, warm water activities, and more to accommodate all kinds of visitors and their needs.

Morgan’s Wonderland Camp is an Ultra-Accessible™ camp for everyone with a particular emphasis on giving people with physical and developmental disabilities an opportunity to enjoy summer-camp-type activities alongside guests without special needs.

Morgan’s Wonderland Sports is a place where everyone can play sports! Our 3-acre Ultra-Accessible™  sports center offers fitness and fun for athletes of all ages and all abilities.

The Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan’s Wonderland™, or The MAC, is a center that improves the lives of individuals with disabilities and special needs through comprehensive and coordinated services.

Community Based Instruction, Students can enjoy four 25-minute lesson rotations throughout the park, all while embracing the mission of Morgan’s Wonderland – inclusion. Our lessons were created in conjunction with Regions 1-20 Education Service Centers and Texas Education Agency. As a result, teachers will not lose teaching days when their classes are engaged in this educational experience.

Club Morgan is a group-based program for members to create social, recreational, and inclusive opportunities for individuals of all abilities who are 16 or older. Members will form friendships while participating in a variety of activities including creative arts, culture, sports, outdoor recreation, and more.

Coffee and Conversation is an opportunity to meet friendly local parents for quality time on the Wharf. Enjoy complimentary coffee along with catch-and-release fishing and interactive activities for the whole family!

What is Memory Matters? The purpose of this program is to engage individuals with ADRD (Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias) in stress management activities led by Morgan’s Wonderland. Caregivers of these individuals will engage in a series of educational sessions presented by the Alzheimer’s Association designed to educate the caregivers in topics related to the disease, discuss issues commonly encountered in caregiving, and how to address those. Each session will offer stress management activities for all participants. Caregivers may attend as many sessions as they would like. This free program will be offered in-person at Morgan’s Wonderland and also on the Zoom platform.

Employment Opportunities We make inclusion happen through our entities and we couldn’t do it without our team. Check out the opportunities at Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative and each of our entities.

Our Care Model The MAC’s innovative approach provides comprehensive and coordinated medical and non-medical services under one roof. The MAC seeks to help individuals with disabilities and special needs of all ages find the assistance they need to improve their health and well-being.

MAC Navigation: The MAC’s services use a family-centered approach with full collaboration from the family, MAC Member, and community partners known as MACers (pronounced “MACK-ers”). Click here to learn more.

Ultra-Accessible™ means that everyone has the same opportunity to be included and participate intentionally in their community. An Ultra-Accessible™ community should provide environments for people of all abilities where they are set up for mobility, access, and success.

The MAC Navigators The MAC Care Model™ is centered around addressing Non-Medical Drivers of Health (NMDOH) through team members known as MAC Navigators that serve as single points of contact for the individuals with disabilities and special needs that The MAC serves. Click here for the Navigation Road Map.

Pre-screening on The MAC website or in person determines eligibility to become a MAC member.

(For purposes of The MAC at Morgan’s Wonderland™, people with a “special need” are defined as individuals of all ages with long-term impairment of cognitive, sensory, motor and/or communication functions, either congenital or acquired, that are not readily rehabilitated. Furthermore, a special need substantially limits an individual’s ability to perform activities in the range of what is considered typical for a person of the same age and cultural context. A special need may result in associated social, behavioral, or mental health complexities, requiring specialized intervention by a professional. Populations served by the MAC are the range of conditions that are classified as intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as acquired or congenital physical disabilities.)

The MAC serves individuals of all ages.

There are no income requirements to receive Navigation services.

Our MAC Members are members as long as they continue receiving services at The MAC.

Each of our MACers (community partners) accepts specific forms of insurance. MAC Navigators are able to connect MAC Members with the correct partner.

Economic stability is one of the Non-Medical Drivers of Health (NMDoH) pillars that make up Morgan’s MAC Care Model. The key issues addressed by our Care Model regarding economic stability include: poverty, employment, food security, and house stability.

With UnitedHealthcare’s investment, Morgan’s MAC offers a Workforce Inclusion Network (WIN). The goal of the WIN is to increase sustainable inclusive employment and assist individuals with disabilities and special needs to achieve job readiness, pursue gainful employment, and economic stability by addressing job training, placement, and coaching.

By offering a collaborative home for multiple agencies, including the Texas Workforce Commission, and community-based organizations, the WIN provides the following to help individuals with disabilities become and stay employed:

  • education
  • counseling
  • coaching

The WIN simultaneously assists employers with the hiring and retention of individuals with disabilities.

This investment is part of UnitedHealthcare’s long-term commitment to eliminating health disparities and helping people live healthier lives. For more information on the Workforce Inclusion Network, please contact us at [email protected].
