Psychotherapy - Psychological Testing - Immigration

Painful, stressful, and overwhelming events in our lives touch us all at one point or another.  Though our struggles in life are opportunities for deeper self-reflection, growth, and change, we sometimes feel stuck in our efforts to move past them. For many individuals and families, psychotherapy plays an important role in managing these opportunities effectively.

In therapy, our goal is for you to feel emotionally safe and empowered to overcome the difficulties you face. You and your therapist will work together to address your concerns. Our hope is that you leave your sessions feeling supported, understood, and better equipped to improve satisfaction in your life.

Psychological evaluations consist of a series of tests administered by a team of specialists that investigate your cognitive functions, abilities, traits, and behaviors. Each test is curated to examine on an in-depth level exactly how a person reacts, feels, and responds when using specific parts of the brain.

A test can vary in format, ranging from structured tasks, puzzles, tests of attention, to surveys. All tests utilize consistently updated psychological research in order to best gauge and interpret performance.

We offer a wide variety of evaluations for ages 6 and up. At Hawks, we believe there is no “one size fits all” with mental health- everyone has their own journey and unique experiences. For that reason, each evaluation is meticulously curated to address your specific needs.

Teen Therapy:

Therapy with children and teens is a process during which we open channels of communication and collaborate to find solutions to difficult problems. The purpose of therapy with children and teens is to provide tools while they learn how to feel and cope with all the emotions that come with growing up.

  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Teen/adolescent transitional periods
  • Self-esteem
  • Relationships (family, school, friendship, food, etc.)
  • Self-harm and suicidal ideation

Teens often leave therapy feeling like they have a safe and confidential space to address their concerns and learn healthy coping skills. Our clinicians encourage parent support and cooperation throughout the therapy process. Parent consultations are available per request.
