First Baptist Church of Castroville (Faith / Christian )

A wonderful place to share life and the love of Christ.

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis of any statement of faith. We band ourselves together as a body of believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the Gospel of salvation with the world. We hold that the ordinances of this Church are baptism by immersion and partaking of The Lord’s Supper.

The Missions Ministry allows First Baptist Church of Castroville to reach out to our community and help those in need so we can demonstrate the love of God as individuals and as a church. The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ met people’s physical needs many times before he told them about the kingdom of God. His actions remind us that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

We seek to assist those who are in need and/or are not physically capable of making repairs to their homes.

Over the years, FBC has established a relationship with churches in the community of Eagle Pass, Texas. Eagle Pass is located in Maverick County, one of the poorest counties in the U.S. Each year, we make a series of mission trips to Eagle Pass. Our largest mission trip, which includes work projects, VBS, and a sports camp is scheduled each June or July.

Our work crews build or repair homes for families residing in dangerous structures due to damage and disrepair. We teach the the Word of God to Eagle Pass children and youth throughVBS using Bible stories, games, crafts and music. Sports Camp helps us relate to youth age students and occurs in the evenings in the gym at the church where we stay.

For information regarding the Missions Ministry, please email the Missions Minister, Tina Santee.
