First Baptist Church Boerne is a gospel-centered, multi-generational church family who highly values Growth Groups and living our lives on mission for Jesus Christ.
An FBC outreach ministry to students in a local elementary school.
Each year, FBC members have given faithfully to more than 150 economically disadvantaged students who are affiliated with a local elementary school. These gifts are not just a blessing but an expression and demonstration of God’s love through our church. God’s love was demonstrated by God sending the ultimate gift of His son, Jesus, into and for the world. Volunteers are needed each year to purchase the gifts, serve at the Angel Tree party, and help with distribution.
What will people be doing? Gift-giving, outreach, and community service.

We team with several different Christian Counselors, listed below:
Shayne Wade, MA, LMFT
Shayne Wade, who has a license in Marriage and Family Therapy, offers Christian Counseling a couple of days a week here at FBC. He will be available to meet with individuals and/or couples and will be here in the afternoons. To schedule an appointment, call or email Shane.
Rick Surley, MA
Rick Surley offers Christian Counseling three days a week at FBC. He is here all day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. To schedule an appointment, contact Rick.
FBC will provide periodic evenings with childcare for foster families. Because childcare is an ongoing difficulty for foster families, this is an opportunity to give the parents a much-needed night off.
All volunteers are required to submit a background check form.

When you receive a new foster placement, we know that the needs that arise can be unpredictable. Maybe you need us to help with meals for a few weeks, or diapers and wipes, or school supplies, or someone to help with laundry. FBC is here to show up for you and your family.
Contact our ministry leader, Rachel Russo, to learn about the ways FBC can support you and your family.
Being a mom is challenging and sometimes a lonely job. Here at MOPS, we gather together and support moms of preschoolers. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen the moms come together. If you are a mom of a preschooler (pregnancy through Kindergarten) and you need some “grown up” time, then we have the place for you!
If you are a mom of a school-aged child (1st–12th Grade), MOMSNext is for you! As moms, and their kids, enter the school year, new challenges and issues arise, but the need for community and support are the same.
At Boerne MOPS we…
- Prayer & Devotional time
- Quality curriculum based childcare while we meet
- HOT Coffee & Breakfast
- Speakers & videos to learn from and give you parenting help
- Small groups to make deep connections and friendships with other moms
- Crafts and fun activities for all skill levels
Both groups meet at the same time and the same place, but have separate small group discussion groups. You find an open, accepting place for all moms to experience authentic friendships, personal growth, practical help, and spiritual hope!

FBC Boerne Weekday Preschool offers a creative developmental program with the guidance and instruction of qualified and certified teachers.
All students are involved in our Christian educational program, which combines social interaction and free play with planned learning time.
Our youngest children are one year old. We tell them stories and help them experience art and social interaction. We treat them with tender, loving care.
Our two-year-old classes concentrate on motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and social contact with other children. They enjoy nursery rhymes, stories, music, and art activities such as painting. They learn shapes, colors, and numbers.
In our three-year-old classes, the children familiarize themselves with numbers and letters through fun games and activities and structured times of listening, verbalizing, and writing when ready. They experiment with scissors, glue, and other art media.
The four- and five-year-old pre-K classes enjoy our readiness program for kindergarten. This broad program consists of learning the alphabet and phonic sounds, numbers, music, and physical activities, all of which are presented in a fun way.
Our curriculum is based on phonics, allowing children to read and write. We also offer computer and Spanish classes. Your child’s preschool years are crucial. Our staff of Christian teachers wants to help provide your child an enriching experience and nurturing and tender loving care.
