St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (Christian / Catholic)
We, the parish family of St. Francis of Assisi, formed in 1980, are gifted with wisdom, productivity and vitality. We are a Sacramental people journeying toward our Christian mission to know, love and serve Christ. To better know, love and serve Christ, we strive to emulate our patron, St. Francis of Assisi, by focusing our greater concern on the building of our people, giving our time, talent and treasures in reaching out to others, and promoting peace and harmony within God’s creation. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will continue to gather as community to grow in and strengthen our spirituality.

The Society of St. Vincent De Paul provides food and financial assistance to needy individuals and families in the parish boundaries. Volunteers assist individuals one-on-one as they seek assistance in the office. During the holiday season, we have our Thanksgiving food drive and Angel Tree. Funding is provided primarily by a monthly collection during Mass and through parishioners’ donations of food.
Must reside within parish boundary.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF). Mobile Loaves and Fishes volunteers prepare and distribute food, clothing, and toiletries to the homeless, working poor and refugee communities in the San Antonio area. We have many flexible opportunities. Most people volunteer once per month, but you are welcome to sign up for more days if you are interested. We have preparation and delivery teams that make meals and then deliver them to various locations around the city.
