Many people are hurting; they feel their own brokenness and/or have problems in relationships. Others are concerned about their loved one's pain and suffering. Unresolved previous trauma continues to haunt people like a tattoo that cannot be washed off; it complicates relationships. My goals for clients include not only alleviating suffering, but also developing healthy attitudes and behaviors that promote mental, spiritual, and physical well-being so that they will thrive. I strive to facilitate healing for my clients - healing within them and healing in their relationships. While respecting my clients' beliefs, I practice counseling from a Christian worldview and strive to integrate traditional counseling approaches with Christian spirituality.

Common problems that clients bring to me include relationship problems with their spouse or significant other, their children, child behavior problems, depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma, addictions, and problems adjusting to changes in life. I work with couples, families, individuals, adolescents, and children. Clients are encouraged to establish SMART goals, i.e. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time Limited goals. We work together to accomplish these goals. I see myself as a companion who walks with my client(s) with the goal of their achieving self-sufficiency as soon as possible. It would be my privilege to work with you to achieve your goals.

Luminary Ministries (Nonprofit )

Luminary supports at-risk teens, young adults, and teen/young parents. We are a non-profit partnering with organizations and other ministries that come together to serve the spiritual, personal growth, and multiple needs of families.

We formed our organization to provide services in life skills, financial literacy with an entrepreneur program, academic education, faith-based classes, and mentorship. Our desire is to positively impact the community and see families thrive.

While there are many programs and services for both young parents and youth in the foster care system, many programs end for individuals once they graduate from high school or turn 18. There is a lack of support, especially for ages 19-23.

Luminary Ministries aims to be a support through this transition time by providing participants with services that guide them in their spiritual, personal, and professional growth.

Abundant Hospice (Business )

During an illness that is terminal, you or your loved ones may talk with your doctor and decide the treatments meant to cure or slow a disease are no longer working, or you are ready to stop them. Some people might think using hospice means they are giving up. While others worry that they won’t get the medical care they need.

But Hospice services simply focus on the quality of your life instead of trying to cure a disease. Our Hospice Team (also known as your Interdisciplinary Care Team) may include a doctor, nurse, social worker, counselor, chaplain, home health aide, and trained volunteers. This group of team members work together to create and update an individualized plan of care that meets your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Remember, hospice is for family members, too. Hospice care offers counseling and can sometimes assist with practical things and much needed rest breaks.

Our Hospice Care Services

  • General Inpatient Care
  • Hospice Care at Home
  • Grief & Bereavement
