If you have a newborn, 60 days old or younger, that you’re unable to care for, you can leave your baby at a designated safe site with no questions asked. Your baby must be unharmed and placed into the arms of a safe site employee.
The Baby Moses law gives parents who are unable to care for their child a safe and legal choice to leave their infant with an employee at a safe site which includes;
- a hospital
- fire station
- emergency medical services (EMS) station
Please make sure you tell the employee that you want to leave your baby at a Safe Haven. You may be asked by an employee for family or medical history to make sure that your baby receives the care they need.
*Remember, if you leave your unharmed infant at a Safe Baby Site, you will NOT be prosecuted for abandonment or neglect. Eagles Flight will continue to provide mothers and organizations with this information so we can help a mother make a safe choice.
This program is for mothers who unable to care for their babies (0-6 months).
