The Young Fathers Reconnect Project is a mentoring program designed to help young men strengthen their relationships with their children. Young Fathers Reconnect reaches out to young fathers in pre- and post-release status. Our program provides every young father with a consistent and caring mentor who will provide support and guidance as they transition back into the community. Our Goals and Objectives: • Promote responsible fatherhood by targeting comprehensive transitional services designed to improve responsible parenting, family engagement, life skills and self-sufficiency. • Improve outcomes for young fathers, their children, and family members by improving young fathers' academic achievement (high school diploma/GED completion, post-secondary enrollment, etc.). • Strengthen and increase the involvement and parenting skills of young fathers through healthy relationships and responsible parenting activities.
