Someone battling with substance dependency
The Center provides psychiatric and wraparound services for psychosocial rehabilitation, community referrals for medical and substance abuse treatment, peer support, and social assistance. Referrals for dual-diagnosed clients are received through the Felony and Misdemeanor Drug Courts.
By rehabilitating non-violent offenders with substance abuse and mental health issues, drug courts reduce the costs of confinement while we help people rebuild stable, productive lives. Participants are subjected to rigorous drug testing, probation visits, and 90 to 180 days of residential treatment. To graduate from the program, participants must attain a high school diploma or GED and secure full-time work.
This program serves adults ages 18-65.
The ARC is a holistic rehabilitation center comprised of religious activities, work therapy, educational classes (spiritual, emotional, financial, life skills, and addiction) as well as recreational therapy. Also, work with community resources to assist our participants with any medical needs they may have.
Every potential participant undergoes a comprehensive intake interview to ensure the ARC program is the best possible match for them. If the interview process determines it’s not, we’ll make every effort to refer them to a program that will be.
A long-term commitment of at least six months is required so patterns of poor decision-making can be broken and replaced with positive life choices – changes that will help them become productive citizens of their community.

The Behavioral Health Diversion Program provides 24/7 residential support with embedded outpatient treatment services for men with co-occurring disorders in need of post-crisis stabilization or early justice system intervention (diversion).
Crosspoint’s program serves adults with mental health disorders, substance abuse disorders, or co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. All participants reside at Crosspoint for a period ranging from 60 to 120 days (up to 210 persons served per year).
Mental health services are rendered on-site by Crosspoint licensed clinicians and a part-time contractual psychiatrist. For those residents needing services elsewhere in the community and/or as part of the discharge process, Crosspoint staff facilitates referrals to external providers. When a partner delivers behavioral health care, Case Managers regularly communicate with treatment staff to solve problems, ensure retention in treatment, reduce challenges to completion, and eliminate service duplication.
In Crosspoint’s experience, most members of the target population will be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless; therefore our Case Managers help participants secure stable housing that supports a pro-social lifestyle before program release.
Men only
Must have a mental health disorder, substance abuse disorder, or co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Clients in need of step-down services can be referred by hospital social workers associated with the Southwest Texas Crisis Collaborative. Those individuals who are criminal justice system involved due to behavioral health issues can be referred by Central Magistration (pretrial) or Specialty Courts.
