The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless.

Families needing emergency assistance, those experiencing a loss of shelter due to a fire, flood, windstorm, or other natural disaster may be eligible for assistance from GRASP. An eviction does not qualify as a residential disaster. National events such as hurricanes will be addressed specifically as needed.

Program Requirements:

• Resident of Bexar County (Converse, Cibolo, Live Oak, Schertz, Selma, Universal City, Windcrest)
• Referred by the United Way Helpline 211 or Other Agencies (i.e., American Red Cross, Salvation Army or local Fire/Police Department)
• Event occurred within past 90 days.
• Proof of ID, Residency,& Income
• Interview with GRASP Caseworker

All applicants must complete the 2021 Client Services App Pack and meet with the caseworker at the office.

All net proceeds from the store funds the charitable programs provided by GRASP for needy families in the Greater Randolph area. Donations to the GRASP Thrift Store are tax deductible in accordance with the IRS Code and may be arranged for pick-up by appointment.

The Hunger Fighters Food Pantry is a ministry of the church that shares the love of Jesus by providing food for needy families in the community.

This ministry is focused on meeting a person’s basic need – food. With the rising price of food and a slow economy, many people are finding it difficult to live, and depend on local churches for help. Our Food Bank is a “no strings attached ministry”.

Food: Once a week, once a month you can pick-up a free package from our pantry. We will have vegetables, meat, and non-perishable items.

Clothing: Shop for gently used clothing or trade in children’s clothing for new sizes.

Love: Receive care and support in a warm, relational environment.

We offer a supportive faith community where you can explore, seek, and grow in faith, heal, and recover from whatever tragedy you might have faced. For families, we offer a place to raise your children.
