The love for dance is powerful and magical. Not only does it allow you to express emotions, but it also offers an opportunity to develop self-confidence and make a difference in the lives of others.

Dance Fairies was inspired by passion and love for dance and recognition that not all children have access to beautiful dance costumes and proper dance shoes to allow them to follow their dreams.

Every child believes in magic, and dancing is the closest thing to magic. Putting a smile on the face of a little girl and watching her swirl in that tutu makes you feel like a fairy. With that in mind, in June of 2018, the idea of Dance Fairies was born.

The mission of the Comal Thrift Shoppe is to provide affordable high-quality clothing, jewelry, housewares, furniture, and more to Comal and surrounding counties so that we may better serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as women and children experiencing houselessness.

Thanks to a surplus of donations from our wonderful community, the Crisis Center of Comal County is thrilled to announce the launch of the Comal Thrift Shoppe, opened September 16th, 2021. Once they arrive, our clients go through and choose everything they may need from our collection of item donations. Then, our staff and volunteers sort through each piece to curate a high-end collection to be housed at the Comal Thrift Shoppe. People are then free to shop the pieces at their leisure and can take pride in knowing that the proceeds from their purchases directly fund our programs and services.

An outreach program designed for survivors. This program will help women understand emotional beauty, which leads to positive self-worth; physical beauty, which leads to eating healthy and exercising; and spiritual beauty, which leads to the inner qualities of being a woman of God’s design.

Volunteers do makeovers, seminars/workshops on self-esteem, healthy eating, and exercise, and assist women with wardrobes for the workplace.

By supporting survivors and embracing them through their restoration journey, we believe we will empower them to move forward and find the strength to Love, Believe, and Dream again.
