Project HOPE (Healthy Options Program for the Elderly) The Project HOPE program is a city funded program through the City of San Antonio. This program provides seniors living on a fixed income with supplemental staple groceries on a monthly bases to help fight hunger and malnutrition.
The program offers between 35-45 lbs of perishable/non-perishable food. Exact contents vary, though items selected would include fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable produce, proteins, dairy, grains, peanut butter or beans.

Age qualification:
The seniors must be 60 years of age and older and be within 185% of the federal poverty guidelines to participate in the program. All participants must reside within Bexar County. Each qualifying senior in a household can sign up separately to receive the program.

The mission of the Advocacy Center is to support student success and wellbeing by providing integrated services and resources that address a variety of socioeconomic needs and mental health.

As people face both chronic and temporary hardships, we have discovered a significant need for temporary food assistance and nutritional education for our rapidly growing community.
Therefore, we have partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank and Daily Bread Ministries for providing groceries, guidance and education to sustain and expand our mission from a pantry to a food distribution center.

The program provides approximately 50-60 pounds of food to qualifying seniors each month. Food is chosen to accommodate the special dietary needs of the senior population and includes produce, protein, whole grains, and staples that will help the seniors live healthy and independent lives.

The Hunger Fighters Food Pantry is a ministry of the church that shares the love of Jesus by providing food for needy families in the community.
This ministry is focused on meeting a person’s basic need – food. With the rising price of food and a slow economy, many people are finding it difficult to live, and depend on local churches for help. Our Food Bank is a “no strings attached ministry”.
Food: Once a week, once a month you can pick-up a free package from our pantry. We will have vegetables, meat, and non-perishable items.
Clothing: Shop for gently used clothing or trade in children’s clothing for new sizes.
Love: Receive care and support in a warm, relational environment.
We offer a supportive faith community where you can explore, seek, and grow in faith, heal, and recover from whatever tragedy you might have faced. For families, we offer a place to raise your children.
