St. Mark's United Methodist Church has a food pantry that is available to anyone who is in need of food.

• One visit per month
• Must present valid photo ID

The Hope Center provides financial assistance to those in our contiguous zip codes. We also operate a small emergency food pantry that can provide enough food to cover a few days.

We serve only the following zip codes: 78201, 78208, 78209, 78212, 78213, 78215, 78216, 78217, 78218, 78233, 78234, and 78239.

Qualifications must be met.

When you visit please bring:

• US photo ID for all adults in household
• SS Card for all in household
• Verification of current address
• Current lease or bill
• All income statements for last 30 days
• Documentation of payments toward bill

The Williams Family Initiative is a program of R3 Student Outreach and provides essentials to families who feel hopeless or in distress including food, clothing, mental health services, and other tangible goods with the purpose of establishing a safe and positive home environment.

Project HOPE provides senior citizens living on a fixed income with supplemental staple groceries on a monthly basis to help fight hunger and malnutrition.

The program provides approximately 50-60 pounds of food to qualifying seniors each month. Food is chosen to accommodate the special dietary needs of the senior population and includes produce, protein, whole grains, and staples that will help the seniors live healthy and independent lives.

Project HOPE is funded by the City of San Antonio Department of Human Services

Criteria for Project HOPE:

Age qualification: 60 or older

The program offers between 35-45 lbs of perishable/non-perishable food. Exact contents vary, though items selected would include fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable produce, proteins, dairy, grains, peanut butter or beans.

Criteria for Project HOPE:

Age qualification: The seniors must be 60 years of age and older and be within 185% of the federal poverty guidelines to participate in the program. All participants must reside within Bexar County. Each qualifying senior in a household can sign up separately to receive the program.

• Proof of income (SSI award letter or current paystubs)

We offer the following services:

• Kym's Kupboard: providing food for families in crisis. The pantry is available to seniors once a week and families twice a month. We also offer snack bags to children on seasonal breaks from school.
• Lillie's Legacy: clothing and accessories are available for the whole family. Services are available once a month to families.
• Jovonies' Hugs: clothing, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby furnishings for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children. Parents can receive supplies twice a month and diapers once a month.
• Empowerment Services: support, counseling, and resources to women and children who have experienced trauma through domestic violence, abuse, and bullying. Self-defense classes are offered through Ohana Academy. Providing advocacy to special needs children and adults.
• Senior Services: Delivered supplies to selected senior living facilities monthly. Providing resources and supplies to seniors weekly at the center.

Our pantry operates in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank.

• Meet the Federal Income requirements.
• Primarily for families in the South San ISD.

An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless.

This is the Macedonia Baptist Church ministry that provides a food Pantry that distributes food in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank.

The Harlandale Sunshine Pantry is a mutual-aid, self-service community pantry. We are a take what you need, leave what you can free little pantry.

We have modified our pantry to be a small store (Tiendita)! If you need something after hours, please message us via Facebook or text one of the contact numbers below.
