?Respite care is short-term relief for in-home hospice caregivers. Medicare benefits pay for patient transport and up to five consecutive days of inpatient care at a Medicare-approved nursing facility or hospital. You can get respite care more than once, but only on an occasional basis.

Hospice respite care enables the caregiver to rest and recover from the demands of daily in-home care. Respite care is also appropriate when a patient’s medical condition warrants a short-term inpatient stay for pain or other symptoms that cannot be managed at home.

The Cohen Clinics are Veterans Choice Providers and use evidence-based practices to improve the quality of life for veterans and their families. Services are provided by credentialed staff trained to work specifically with the military population. Veterans and their family members receive services individually and together in the same place, at the same time, with the same treatment team.

More than just mental health care, our Military Family Clinics help veteran families with support and referrals for related needs, including unemployment, housing, finance, and education.

All veterans and their families are eligible, regardless of role, discharge status, or ability to pay.

  • Walk-in during clinic hours.
  • Call 210-399-4838 ext 4000 or email [email protected] to be connected to the Intake Coordinator.

The Cohen Clinics at Endeavors accept all major insurances, including TRICARE, however, we work with clients on a case-by-case basis to ensure any barriers to care are addressed. For those without insurance, care may be available at no cost. CVN is contracted with DoD TRICARE and VA as part of the VA Community Care Network of providers under the VA Mission Act.
