Crosspoint’s Vets program provides transitional residential rehabilitation and case management services for homeless Veterans. Services include beds for men in our Summit Facility and for women in Crosspoint’s new Women’s Wellness Center in our Alvarez Facility. All services are coordinated with social work staff from DVA. The program offers Veterans a chance to reestablish stable, happy lives.

Youth often suffer from an absence of positive role models. Youth engage in lessons by the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets to promote important life skills and personal assets. Examples of personal assets include: honesty, integrity, achievement, motivation, school engagement, responsibility, planning and decision-making, sense of purpose, etc.
Asset Building is a program of Good Sam's Youth Development Services (YDS), whose goal is to help young people acquire the life and academic skills necessary for personal success.
YDS exposes youth to new experiences, provides safe spaces to learn, and helps develop a sense of purpose by providing structured, age-appropriate services through five pillars:
- Support Educational Achievement
- Encourage Healthy Decisions
- Explore College and Career Pathways
- Develop Leaders
- Engage Families

Promoting leadership and learning of women locally and globally through collaborative networks and partnerships
Sister Dorothy Ettling and Sister Neomi Hayes founded Women’s Global Connection in 2001 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and in partnership with the University of the Incarnate Word to further education and research in the global community.
Online
The WGC online community provides many forms of dialogue, information sharing and learning. As in any community, the strength and power of Women’s Global Connection comes from the contributions of the participants. We welcome you to become a member of our community.
On-the-Ground
WGC also organizes annual immersion trips to partnering countries to promote understanding of different cultures aimed at building respectful collaborative relationships across the globe; and to provide education for grassroots women around the world as a means of promoting women’s leadership and community development.

Communities In Schools programs surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Our evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community’s unique needs, is the basis for our success.
Basic Needs: A student cannot focus in the classroom if he or she is hungry, cold or tired, or cannot see the board. Site coordinators see to it that students' basic needs are met each day.
Enrichment: Our Site coordinators enroll students in a wide variety of after-school and summer programs, field trips and youth conferences to help them gain experience that is essential to meeting college and career goals.
Academic Assistance: Our site coordinators work hard to ensure that students have the resources to progress academically. From providing students with tutors to finding and creating quiet spaces where students can study, we do whatever it takes to create an optimal learning environment for our students.
Life Skills: Through one-on-one workshops, team building, and guest speakers, we work with students to develop social-emotional learning, character education, social skills building, and conflict resolution.
Behavioral Interventions: Many of our students face and overcome difficult obstacles in their lives. However, their survival skills aren’t always effective in the classroom or in the workplace. Our program teaches students positive ways to cope with anger, conflict resolution, and other strategies to keep them focused on school.
Family Engagement: Site coordinators connect families with counselors and social workers to make sure that home is a healthy, nurturing environment where a student can feel safe.

The Burleson Center is home to the Special Education 18+ Program. The program is designed to meet the unique needs of students who have graduated from high school and continue to require instruction in employment, education/training, and/or independent living. Students may receive instruction in the community and/or in one or more of the businesses located in the facility.
We believe all individuals deserve daily opportunities to maximize their potential and learn skills that promote independence in their community.
We provide community integration, employment training, education, independent living skills, recreational, and social skills, and other meaningful and productive activities in various settings.
