The SA Hope Center program aims to help individuals and families suffering from chronic poverty. The program connects them with social workers, whom they call mentors, to work together and address the underlying causes of poverty. The mentors work with the program participants to create personalized goals that focus on their unique strengths, which help increase their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Through this program, individuals are empowered to take positive steps towards achieving their goals of financial literacy, strengthening their family unit, career readiness, adult education, and overall wellness.

SA Hope Center Enrollment Requirements: 

• Proof of family size (birth certificate, picture ID’s, or  last year’s tax forms).
• Proof of Income – pay stubs or award letters.

This program demystifies industry for high school students through half a day of work-based learning. The experience allows students to see career options firsthand and gain skills that employers need.

Our 2021 Regional Job Shadow took place March 1-5 with 12,800+ high school students participating virtually. Instead of the traditional workplace visit, over 40 employers shared 100+ videos with students across the region to give them a look at what real careers look like across 15 industries. The Advanced Learning Academy (ALA) at Fox Tech is a 4th - 12th Grade campus in the San Antonio Independent School District.

With TBE coaches and athletes all over the world, we have a unique ability to create opportunities for coaches and players to travel and experience what basketball is like in other countries. We serve as facilitators in organizing exchanges for overseas travel, and host athletes from all over the world in Texas.

CAST TECH is a partnership school co-created with San Antonio ISD and the CAST Schools Network. Higher education partners include San Antonio College and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

CAST TECH works hand-in-hand with industry partners to prepare students for careers in technology and business, fields where the demand is high for talented workers.

CAST TECH uses computer-based learning to allow students to progress more quickly in areas where they have mastered concepts, allowing them to dive more deeply into projects and areas of great interest. 

Students enrolled in CAST TECH will follow one of three pathways:

• business
• technology
• user experience (UX)

CAST Schools are tuition-free and open to students across the greater San Antonio region who are entering 9th or 10th grade. Our small class sizes provide our educators with the opportunity to meet students where they are and co-create a plan for future success.

College coursework is embedded in the program, and students can earn up to two years of college credit, industry certifications, and portfolios that feature long-term projects and other examples of their work.

Grades 3-5:

Girls on the Run inspires girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths, while building a sense of connection in a team setting. At the end of the season, the team completes a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.

Girls on the Run is our program for girls in 6-8 grade that encourages girls to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others. Each season, girls gain a better understanding of who they are and what's important to them, the value of teamwork and healthy relationships and how they can have a positive impact on the world. Girls also make a meaningful contribution to their community through a team-organized Community Impact Project. Physical activity is woven into the program to inspire an appreciation for fitness and healthy habits and teach life skills including treating others with care, practicing gratitude and managing emotions. Each season culminates with a Girls on the Run 5K event. This celebratory, non-competitive event provides girls with a sense of accomplishment and instills the value of goal setting at a young age.

Our entrepreneurial businesses, such as the Daily Plan It, Vaseful, and Presents of Mind provide individuals with disabilities an opportunity to work in a real business setting alongside trained professionals as opposed to a simulated or workshop-based setting.  Our entrepreneurial businesses embody the true meaning of an integrated employment program as defined by the Department of Labor.

We support individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi, and traumatic brain injury. Many of the individuals we serve also have co-occurring medical and mental health conditions such as Seizure Disorder, Pica, Diabetes, Mood Disorders, Schizoaffective Disorders, and Impulse Control Disorders.

Thrive’s emergency shelter is housed on the campus of Haven for Hope and provides 10 young adults with shelter for up to 6 months.

The core services at our emergency shelter include not only basic needs of food and shelter but individually tailored and youth-directed case management plans to help young adults move forward in exiting homelessness.

Thrive assists young adults with linkage to resources such as ID recovery, counseling, medical services, gender-affirming care, educational opportunities, and vocational training in a safe and supportive environment.

Our focus is to help remove barriers that young adults may encounter in seeking services and help guide them toward their next move in achieving their goals.

Pastor Mooney enjoys telling the story of how he came to Christ and is willing to discuss the Word of God with anyone. Pastor Mooney was ordained as a minister in 1996, devotes his life to the Lord, and welcomes everyone to join the churches activities and services. He strongly believes that “It takes one to know one and show them the way.” Pastor Mooney is a living example that “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always have sufficiency in all things, and that you may have an abundance for every good thing” (2 COR 9:8 NKJV).

Our vision is to help the homeless, and those on drugs (crack cocaine, alcohol, downers, uppers, and heroin) and those in gangs. These individuals need a chance to have a job and money to help them start over again with a new life. We see them on our street corners all over the world. We need, as a people, to come together and help feed and clothe these individuals. We, as human beings are complete with body, mind, and spirit.

The San Antonio AIDS Foundation provides a continuum of care to low-income HIV-positive men, women, and transgender individuals. Our services include resource and benefits assistance, case management, mental health counseling, medical care, pharmacy services, housing, and a year-round hot meal program.

We offer onsite and mobile testing for HIV and STDs, as well as HIV prevention education presentations in local public schools, colleges and universities, adult probation facilities, and teen detention programs.

Services are only available to individuals living with HIV/AIDS who are registered clients of the San Antonio AIDS Foundation.
