Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat many mental health disorders and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Depression and Anxiety: Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we can help you recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Trauma and PTSD: Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances (combat, sexual assault, abuse). Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing

Relationships: Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples and families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and families to discuss issues and solutions.

Child and Adolescent: Childhood and adolescence are a struggle for many. Often circumstances or the same depression, fear, and anxiety impact adults and also prove to be problematic for children. Through counseling and treatment children and adolescents grow and develop.

Parenting: Therapy can include effective approaches to the challenges of parenting. The goal is to foster appropriate growth and development in the child from a positive perspective.

Developmental Delays: Developmental delays impact individuals and families. Our goal is to encourage adult living skills, improve social interaction, foster independence, and involve positive family interaction.

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster.

While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover the effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed…

What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches.

How does EMDR work?

EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain. Therapists often use eye movements to facilitate bilateral stimulation. These eye movements mimic the period of sleep referred to as rapid eye movement…

We understand many of the unique issues affecting those suffering from Military sexual trauma. MST is defined by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) as “sexual harassment that is threatening in character or physical assault of a sexual nature that occurred while the victim was in the military, regardless of the geographic location of the trauma, gender of the victim, or the relationship to the perpetrator”, is a significant and pervasive concern in the military. We offer relief from the symptoms of MST.

There are a variety of emotional, behavioral, physical, and mental health issues that have been linked to MST. Primary among these are depression, posttraumatic stress, anxiety, substance dependency, and an increased risk of suicide. Roughly 50-60% of female veterans who experience MST eventually develop posttraumatic stress. This rate is approximately three times higher than male veterans in similar circumstances. Of servicewomen who develop PTSD due to military sexual trauma, an estimated 75% develop co-morbid depression, and over 30% may develop anxiety.

Servicemen who experience posttraumatic stress due to exposure to military sexual trauma are more likely to abuse alcohol, drugs, and other substances than servicewomen who have experienced similar trauma. A study involving more than 2300 male and female military personnel who served in OEF/OIF revealed that sexual harassment was the only stressor that was independently linked to suicidal ideation among female veterans—even when accounting for depression and the misuse of alcohol.

We offer experienced and specialized care for veterans, LEOs, firefighters, and other first responders who experience a group of mental health conditions that tend to disproportionately affect these populations.

These conditions may include:

  • posttraumatic stress (PTSD)
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • substance abuse
  • among other issues

Due to the traumatic environment in which these warriors serve, they suffer disproportionately. We address these concerns with evidence-based therapy.

Another form of therapy created to help trauma-affected clients, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses eye movements and processes similar to those the body utilizes during REM sleep, in order to help the patient reframe traumatic events.

Some studies report that EMDR can accelerate the healing process by years in comparison to psychotherapy alone. Our experts are available for any questions you may have about the benefits and processes of EMDR.

We offer both virtual and in-office therapy sessions. Both options are face-to-face in order to encourage connection and enhance visual understanding.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP), also known as day treatment, allows children to spend the day receiving care from mental health professionals and then return home during the evening. In PHP, kids who are struggling can get the help they need while minimizing interruptions to their family life.

PHP allows us to observe and understand firsthand the challenges the child is facing. This midground option is also effective for children who have been previously hospitalized and still need close monitoring.

Key facts about PHP:

  • Ages: 6 to 17
  • The typical stay is 10 to 15 days.
  • Treatment is provided by a multi-disciplinary team of child specialists with psychiatry visits several times a week.

Conditions treated by PHP:

  • depression and other mood disorders
  • anxiety disorders
  • separation anxiety
  • phobias
  • serious coping problems
  • other emotional and behavioral problems

ages: 6 to 17

Most health insurance providers pay for partial treatment; however, you may need to demonstrate that outpatient treatment was tried first.

We accept most commercial insurances, TRICARE, Medicaid, and CHIP. We also have alternative methods to fund a child’s treatment. Our financial representatives work with families to find a way to get their children the help they need.

Supporting the long-term health of a Green Beret's Mind, Body, and Spirit.

The long-term health of a Green Beret’s mind, body, and spirit is of the utmost importance to the Foundation. We supplement the care that the Military Health System (MHS) and Veterans Health Administration (VA) provide to ensure total wellness for the Green Beret.

Some examples of how we support our community:

  • Funded Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for TBI and PTSD
  • Alpha-Stim®
  • Infrared Light Therapy
  • ChiliPad™
  • Neurofeedback
  • Laser Regeneration Therapy
  • Aphasia Therapy
  • Access to substance abuse treatment
  • Inpatient/Outpatient healthcare costs not covered by TRICARE or the Veterans Health Administration

Health and Wellness Support Process:

  1. A Green Beret, family member, or Care Coalition advocate contacts the Foundation to inform us of a need that has arisen in our community.
  2. We ensure the person is, in fact, a Green Beret and that the need is valid and not supported by the Veterans Administration.
  3. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  4. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  5. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  6. We continuously engage with the Green Beret and his family to see if the support has been helpful and if other needs have arisen.

Another form of therapy created to help trauma-affected clients, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses eye movements and processes similar to those the body utilizes during REM sleep, to help the patient reframe traumatic events.

Some studies report that EMDR can accelerate the healing process by years in comparison to psychotherapy alone. Our experts are available for any questions you may have about the benefits and processes of EMDR.

We offer both virtual and in-office therapy sessions. Both options are face-to-face to encourage connection and enhance visual understanding.
