Everyone will experience conflicts in their life. The word "conflict" will usually create negative thoughts. However, conflict can be positive as well as negative. Negative conflicts are disruptive, destructive and require a lot of energy. Positive conflicts can be a learning tool from which individuals can learn, grow and become closer in their relationship.

Our staff includes certified conflict resolution specialists to help resolve and mediate disputes that become undesirable conflicts.

We live in a complicated and fast-moving society. Stress can affect other emotions such as negative anger. Stress can be defined as a mismatch between an individual’s coping skills and the demands of their life.

The Life Skills for Living Program centers on altering a person’s usual negative response to stress to a new altered response. This altered response involves creating a process to change our techniques in the way we think, feel, and act during stressful periods that we all experience.

FUNdamental Sports includes three core principles:

  • Foundational Skills
  • Unified Partners
  • No Limits.

This program establishes individualized programs for athletes ages two and older who, due to their physical and/or developmental abilities, are working on foundational motor skills to prepare them for possible competitions in official Special Olympics events.

As the athlete learns the sport progressions, he/she comes closer to acquiring skills considered essential for participation in official Special Olympics competitions and daily life activities.

FUNdamental Sports athletes participate in a variety of sports that have been adapted to accommodate all ability levels.

Participation is accomplished through the use of adapted equipment and physical assistance that are matched to the individual’s level of need. Athletes are not limited in the number or types of equipment and assistance that is used in order to achieve success.

Through the inclusion of Unified Partners as one-on-one assistants, the athletes and partners have the opportunity to develop friendships. Additionally, the Unified Partners will have the opportunity to grow in their awareness of the athletes’ unique abilities.

Young Athletes is an athletic play program designed to introduce children ages two to seven to the world of physical activity through basic sports skills like running, kicking, and throwing.

The program is based entirely on participation; there is no competitive element.

This program offers families, teachers, caregivers, and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

Students work on skills as part of their school day. These skills may be in line with the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Once or twice times a year there will be a culminating Future Stars Sports Day, during which all students will demonstrate the skills they have learned for family and friends.

  • Couples Therapy

In couple’s therapy, clients are able to work to improve relationship quality with the help of a trained therapist in a 45-50 minute session. Couples explore what is helping or hindering their relationship, how to set and communicate healthy boundaries, and can increase feelings of connection and closeness during this process. This type of therapy can help identify what may be causing strain within a relationship or address specific problems with various forms of therapeutic intervention.

  • Family Therapy

Family therapy is a type of group therapy that works with family members to identify familial patterns or behaviors that cause relational strain or individual issues. With the help of a therapist trained in familial counseling, family members can focus on changing destructive patterns and behavior, improving relationships, and enhancing communication. We understand that not one care plan fits all. Daily services can include anything from meal preparation, hygiene, cleaning, and supervision. We will take the time to get to know you and develop an individualized care plan that fits your specific needs.

Seniors 2000 adult daycare program is designed to meet the needs of adults with functional impairments through individual plans of care by providing health, social, and related support services in a safe environment. This may include light exercises, individual floor dances, a pool table, table games, bingo, arts and crafts, and occasional "Zumba." Our centers have an open space setting for wheelchair-bound individuals to move around. We provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our clients to spend the day.

Services include:

  • Transportation. We arrange for our clients to have safe transportation to and from their homes daily, making adult care services convenient. We hold Field Trips once in a while, enjoy visiting local libraries, local shops, and parks with our staff members accompanying a small group of clients. We keep our daily activities fresh every day. Boredom is a thing of the past.
  • Therapeutic Activities. Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Our adult day care can assist you with daily tasks such as mobility, eating, exercising, and grooming.
  • Healthy Meals. Our centers serve breakfast, lunch, and a mid-afternoon snack prepared in our own central kitchen. A registered dietitian designs our menus, ensuring that all dietary needs are met.

This program is for adults (18+) with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD).

We contract with Amerigroup Health Care, Molina Health Care, Superior Health Plan, AACOG, UnitedStates Veterans ( VA ).

If a client is eligible under the Medicaid Program, the services will be paid in full by Medicaid and will be at no cost to the client.

Some of our folks have jobs when they join our program and some are wanting to find jobs. We offer job training to help those with jobs improve their skills to make it easier for them to keep working. And we offer assistance for those looking for work. As a team the staff frequently meet to assess our folks' job performances and then offer suggestions on how to help them improve.
