Jehovah’s Witnesses hold meetings for worship twice each week. At these meetings, we examine what the Bible says and how we can apply its teachings in our life.

Most of our services include audience participation, much like a classroom discussion. Meetings begin and end with song and prayer.

You don’t have to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses to attend our meetings. We invite everyone to come along.

This is an ASL congregation.

Seats are free. No collections are ever taken.

Our congregation is a diverse group of Christians, bound together by God’s love. We seek to be friendly people, who are striving to help one another and all others towards heaven. God is our heavenly Father, Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit is our Helper. The Bible is our only authoritative guide book for doctrine and practice.

We are not a part of any denomination, nor are we a new or different church, but simply a part of the church of Christ you may read about in the Bible, “…the church of God which He purchased with His own blood” (Acts 20:28). Our fellowship extends to all Christians who continue to trust in Christ for salvation, confessing their sins as they strive to follow after Him (cf. 1 John 1:5-2:2). Without condemning others, we speak the truth in love and recognize God as the Judge of us all.

When Victory Gospel was founded in 1992, the sanctuary was the living room of a house on the corner of Montana and Gevers St. Bishop Banks and Prophetess Jackie Banks began the Church and worked diligently with the power of the Holy Spirit motivating and guiding their every move. Evangelism was at the heart of the ministry from its earliest moments and this deep love to share the Gospel sparked growth immediately.

The ministry grew, and eventually the living room where they were having church was no longer large enough to accomodate the people.

St. Gerard’s Parish is a Catholic faith community that reaches out, welcomes & unifies all people.

What is a Sacrament? Sacraments are outward signs of God’s love instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine grace is dispensed to God’s own people the work of the Holy Spirit. There are seven Sacraments and they are grouped according to their purpose:

  • Sacrament of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist
  • Sacrament of Healing: Anointing of the Sick and Reconciliation
  • Sacrament of Service: Holy Orders and Matrimony

Walking in faith is a lifelong process and children and adults ongoing formation as they grow so that their faith can grow according to their questions and illusions. Students do not “finish” their religious education once they have made First Communion, any more than they “finish” their academic education once they learn to read. Our program prepares you for a lifelong journey of faith.

Christian Initiation of Adults is an open-ended process to warmly welcome new members and provide spiritual formation according to each person’s needs. The process includes discussion, reflection, prayer, and liturgies and rites celebrated within our faith community. Participants reflect on Scripture, uncover their faith stories, and learn to recognize themselves and God’s actions in their lives while exploring the teachings of the Church and its application to their own lives. Contact Director of Faith Formation at (210) 533-0170 or [email protected]

St. Gerard is a singing community! Hymns, psalms, Eucharistic Acclamations, and ritual music deepen and enrich our worship at Mass. To lead the assembly in sung prayer, our cantors, accompanists, and choir prepare well! Our liturgical music is accompanied by piano and guitar, and our historic Bennett pipe organ blends traditional and contemporary hymnody deeply rooted in the theology of the Church.
