The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The Walk to Emmaus experience begins with a 72-hour short course in Christianity, comprised of fifteen talks by lay and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship, and what it means to be the church. The course is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship and daily celebration of Holy Communion.
Emmaus ministries exist to inspire, challenge, and equip local faith communities for Christian action in their homes, churches, communities, and places of work.
The "Emmaus community," made up of those who have attended an Emmaus weekend, support the 72-hour experience with a prayer vigil, by preparing and serving meals, and other acts of love and self-giving. The Emmaus Walk usually begins Thursday evening and concludes Sunday evening. Men and women attend separate weekends.
Participants will deepen their faith and discipleship and rekindle – or perhaps ignite – their gifts as Christian leaders for their church and community. Once the weekend is completed, pilgrims participate in follow-up spiritual support groups and Emmaus Community fellowship opportunities, sponsorship, prayer, support of other Emmaus Ministry events, and service on support committees and teams.
Contact the church office for details on the next Emmaus Walk.

Parkhills Preschool is the weekday ministry of Parkhills Baptist Church for children ages six months (as of September 1st) through pre-kindergarten. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., September through May.
We provide a program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). Individual, small group, and large group activities are planned to meet the specific needs and interests of each age group.
We offer “Big Church” for children ages two through pre-kindergarten, music teaching for all ages, introduction to community servants (such as policemen, firemen, and many more) and preparation for kindergarten. Special events throughout the year offer parents the opportunity to see their children "in action". Some of these include a Fiesta parade, rodeo, petting zoo, Mother's Day brunch, Christmas program, and graduation party.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
To serve God, we the people of St. Margaret's Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, come together to reach out in faith and love to all people with the Good News of God's reconciling Grace in Jesus Christ. We do this through our worship, nurture, and outreach.
Free
Every church has its own style of worship. We think you’ll enjoy the services at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, but as in any church, you should expect it to take a couple of Sundays to become accustomed to our way of praising God together.
Each week, directions for the service are printed in the worship bulletin. We follow a basic liturgical service that is printed in our hymn books and in your worship bulletin. You may choose whichever is easier for you. Every week we have three scripture readings, these are also printed in the worship bulletin or you may bring your Bible and follow along.
Music and singing are an important part of our services. Loud or soft, in monotone or rich harmony, all our praises are music to God.

As an active and growing church, Cross of Christ offers a wide variety of service opportunities to give thanks to the Lord for his blessings and work to make Christ known to others.
