- People who generally make $67,000 or less
- Persons with disabilities; and
- Limited English-speaking taxpayers
In addition to VITA, the TCE program offers free tax help, particularly for those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors.
VITA/TCE sites are operated by IRS partners and staffed by volunteers who want to make a difference in their communities. The IRS-certified volunteers who provide tax counseling are often retired individuals associated with non-profit organizations that receive grants from the IRS.

The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals, including:
- People who generally make $60,000 or less.
- Persons with disabilities.
- Limited English-speaking taxpayers.
This location provides services in English and Spanish.
VITA helps taxpayers take advantage of all the tax credits they are eligible for.
All VITA tax returns are prepared and submitted to the IRS electronically.
If you qualify for a refund, you can anticipate receiving a check in seven to ten days business days after filing.
If filing jointly, both spouses must be present.
The following items are needed to prepare your tax return:
- Driver's License or Photo I.D.
- Social Security Card or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for all members of your family
- All W-2 Forms
- Copy of last year's tax return (if applicable)
- 1099 Forms (if applicable)
- 1099-G Unemployment Benefits (if applicable)
- 1099-INT Interest from your bank
- 1099-R Pensions, Annuities, Retirement Plans
- Account Numbers for electronic deposit of refund
