Northwest Community Evangelical Free Church is a Baptist church on San Antonio’s north side.

BCFS Health and Human Services of San Antonio helps youth reach their full potential by providing services that promote healthy development, including workforce assistance, dropout prevention activities, self-esteem and leadership activities, counseling, and more.

BCFS Health and Human Services-San Antonio parenting education programs also help families create safe, loving home environments.

Youth receiving services are:

• Between the ages of 16 and 25
• Currently in foster care, or aging out of foster care
• Formerly in foster care but still need assistance
• Foster youth on probation or parole, or released from juvenile correctional facilities

Youth Services

• Preparation for Adult Living (PAL): Helps youth from foster care develop the necessary skills and access resources to live independently after leaving the foster care system
• Texas Workforce Commission (TWC): Job searches, job referrals, career assessments, identification of growth occupations in the local labor market, job skills training and job placement
• Education and Training Voucher (ETV): A scholarship program that helps youth from foster care pay for higher education and vocational training
• Resiliency Through Healing (RTH): Helping those 18 to 25 years old by offering free counseling and therapy services
• One-on-one individualized assistance
• Assessments to identify unmet needs
• Mentoring

Family Services

The Family And Youth Success (FAYS) program aims to reduce family conflict and prevent the problems of delinquent behaviors, runaway, truancy, and child abuse by helping youths and their families learn to resolve crises and develop coping and parenting skills. FAYS services are free to youth and families.

We are a Bible-based Baptist church who believes in the inerrancy and infallibility of the Scriptures. Teaching and preaching God’s Word is a central focus at NSBC, and we are an evangelistic community that actively reaches out to the community to spread the Gospel message.

My counseling specialty is Women's Issues. 

Exploring female experiences across the lifespan brings a perspective that is often overlooked or down-played. Whether a hormonal issue is contributing to life stress such as PMS, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustments, or perimenopause and menopausal transitions or societal expectations such as work/life balance, perfectionism, being that "Good Mom" or feelings of never quite doing it right or being good enough, guilt, and shame, together we can "figure it out".

We can explore and problem solve together. Quite amazing how just listening, talking, connecting, and yes - even laughing - about the hurts, stresses, and absurdities of life can be so refreshing and healing.
