COVID-19 Notice

Due to safety concerns, weekend and daycare services are temporarily suspended.

Mother's Day Out is a childcare service offered two days per week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, on the west side of San Antonio. Preschool age children with disabilities and their non-disabled siblings within the same age group may participate. The availability of Mother's Day Out service allows parents to pursue educational goals, obtain part-time employment or have some time for themselves.

Family Day Out programs are offered at geographically diverse locations in the community on Saturdays. This care for the child with special needs allows time for the non-disabled family members to spend quality time together. Often, this is the only time the other children in the family get special attention from their parents. Siblings are welcome.

Parents Night Out programs provide Friday or Saturday evening care for children with special needs and their siblings, so that the parents can enjoy time alone, in pursuit of their own interests or have a date night with their significant other, reconnecting as a couple.

Kid’s Place Child Development and Treatment Center improves the social-emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children enrolled in its multi-age classes. Kid's Place is a "Three Star" approved Child Care Service (CCS) "Quality Care Provider".

For information about our Kid’s Place childcare program for children ages 14 months to 5 years, click here.

As part of our intake process, we assess not only the child’s level of developmental functioning but also the degree of stress in the family. This allows us to develop individualized plans of care.

We love being an intergenerational space! We engage local seniors to read with Kid’s Place students once a week. Intergenerational activities can improve children’s motor and cognitive skills, as well as social and emotional competencies like empathy, patience, and problem-solving.

Thanks to generous support from foundation partners and individual donors, we are able to provide tuition assistance for our students.
