The mission of the CACCC is to provide a neutral, child-friendly agency to the community that facilitates a multidisciplinary approach in the prevention, detection, investigation and treatment of child abuse.

To report abuse please call 1-800-252-5400.

Programs:

  • Counseling
  • Forensic Interviewing
  • Forensic Medical Examinations
  • Multidisciplinary Team Coordination with law enforcement, child protective services and assistant district attorneys
  • Drug Endangered Child Team Facilitation
  • Prevention: Darkness to Light

Prevention:

At the CACCC, we use a prevention program called Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children (D2L) that focuses on teaching adults in a community how to keep children safer from sexual abuse. Our trained facilitator, Susan White (Forensic Interviews and Prevention Director) is available to help parents, groups, organizations and clubs learn how to better prevent abuse from happening. She teaches the 5 Steps to Protecting Children:

  • LEARN THE FACTS OF ABUSE. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by the time they turn 18. (1 in 10 of those children will be sexually abused involving physical contact.)
  • MINIMIZE OPPORTUNITY. Eliminate or reduce isolated, one-on-one situations to decrease risk for abuse.
  • TALK ABOUT IT. Have open, age appropriate conversations with children about our bodies, sex and boundaries.
  • RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS. Know the signs of abuse to protect children from further harm.
  • REACT RESPONSIBLY. Understand how to respond to risky behaviors and suspicions or reports of sexual abuse.

At every training, adults will be given useful, practical information on how to keep children safer and organizations will learn how to implement policies that will show they take preventing child abuse seriously. Samples and suggestions will be given to creating an organizational Code of Conduct.

All Saints' Episcopal Church (Faith / Christian )

We believe that, in as much as Christ was given by the Father for us, and his obedience and punishment were accepted in place of our own, freely and not for anything in us, this justification is solely of free grace, in order that both the exact justice and the rich grace of God might be glorified in the justification of sinners. We believe that a zeal for personal and public obedience flows from this free justification.

God alone is Lord of the conscience, and He has left it free from the doctrines and commandments of men which are contrary to His Word or not contained in it. Church and state should be separate. The state owes to every church protection and full freedom in the pursuit of its spiritual ends. In providing for such freedom no ecclesiastical group or denomination should be favored by the state more than others.

We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God; that it was purchased by Christ on the cross; that it is received through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual; and that salvation results in righteous living, good works and biblically informed actions to bring about godly justice wherever we live.

St Andrew's Episcopal Church - Seguin (Faith / Christian )

“God came among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth to show us the Way. He came to show us the Way to life, the Way to love. He came to show us the Way beyond what often can be the nightmares of our own devisings and into the dream of God’s intending. That’s why, when Jesus called his first followers he did it with the simple words, “Follow me.” …Follow me and love will show you how to become more than you ever dreamed you could be. Follow me and I will help you change the world from the nightmare it often is into the dream that God intends. Jesus came and started a movement and we are the Episcopal Branch of the Jesus movement.”

Rebecca Creek Baptist Church (Faith / Christian )

With the forceful current of constant change sweeping over every part of our lives, people have the need to connect with something enduring and firm. We believe Christ designed the church to fulfill that need by representing an eternal kingdom and ageless truth with no need to imitate the culture. We want you to know that there’s still a church that feels like a church. It won’t feel like a rock concert, comedy club, or motivational seminar. It’s not old-fashioned, as in 50 years ago. It is timeless, as in 2000 years ago. Rebecca Creek Baptist Church. Still Church.

St Andrews Lutheran Church / Canyon Lake (Faith / Christian )

St. Andrew Lutheran, as part of the ELCA, is a church that believes God is calling us into the world — together.  The ELCA participates in God’s just and loving purpose for all of creation in many different ways, from the daily actions of members as citizens to efforts in social service, to public witness for justice.  We have been blessed to share His word and His love in the Canyon Lake area since 1968.

We understand to be Lutheran is to be ecumenical – committed to the oneness to which God calls the world in the saving gift of Jesus Christ, recognizing the brokenness of the church in history and the call of God to heal this disunity.

We are a church that walks by faith, trusting God's promise in the gospel and knowing that we exist by and for the proclamation of this gospel word.

We proclaim Jesus Christ crucified and raised from the dead for the life of the world. God’s word, specifically God’s promise in Jesus Christ, creates this liberated, confident, and generous faith. God gives the Holy Spirit who uses gospel proclamation – in preaching and sacraments, in forgiveness, and in healing conversations – to create and sustain this faith. As a Lutheran church, we give a central place to this gospel message in our ministry.

A Doggie 4 You (Nonprofit )

The mission of A Doggie 4 You is to promote spay/neuter of pets, rescue dogs from kill facilities or unsafe environments, rehabilitate and rehome the dogs to loving homes. Located on a beautiful ranch in the Texas Hill Country, we are a totally volunteer run organization committed to annually placing hundreds of dogs in their best forever homes.

We at a A Doggie 4 You understand you want to do what is right for the dog that you have either found as a stray or can no longer keep.  We have to be clear before proceeding, we are a volunteer run not for profit organization who is funded only by donations and adoption income. We are not able to go out to rescue a dog off the street nor we can not legally go on to private property for any reason.

We are NOT the resource you need if a dog is in an emergency situation. We do not euthanize but we are limited by our space and resources. Our medical bills alone are almost equal to our income. Having said this we want to help when we can. If you have an animal you would like us to consider taking in please submit the surrender form below. Allow at least 2 business days for a response, sending multiple requests or calls for the same animal only slows the process. Submission of this form in no way guarantees we will be able to accept the dog.

Genesis Ministries (Faith / Christian )

The mission of Genesis is to be a catalyst for improvement. We want to see positive changes in lives, families, hearts, and souls. We are a place where any person can find their purpose.

A place where marriages can be restored, families healed, and the name of Jesus exalted. We will feed the hungry, clothe the naked, encourage the downhearted, and propel the believer to higher heights and greater glories.

We strive to join arm-in-arm with other ministries and reach our towns, states, our nation, and the world with the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ.

The vision of Genesis is to be a ministry where the person without a father, the widow without a husband, the individual without a vision, and a person without direction can find: The Father’s love; The Husbands embrace; their unmistakable purpose; and a clearly defined path.
