What We Believe

We believe Jesus really came, lived, died, and rose again. We believe that every word of the Bible is God-breathed and that we should all strive to live by the Word.

  • We believe in developing a relationship with the Lord.
  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe everyone in Christ should develop a rich and powerful prayer life.
  • We believe in living Holy according to the Word of God.
  • We believe that no sin is too great and no person is beyond saving.
  • We believe that it is God's will for every person to come to Salvation.
  • We believe in evangelism, which means we actively reach out for those who are still lost through witnessing

The Victory Gospel Spiritual Growth Center is a ministry of Victory Gospel Chapel. It's an extension of God's mercy that was established to help those who are lost in darkness such as drug abuse, alcoholism, and other serious problems. The purpose of the ministry is to help those people first discover the love of Jesus Christ, and then build new lives through that love. The SGC helps men and women from all walks of life restructure their lives so they can achieve success.

Our ministry offers:

  • Prayer three times daily
  • Daily classes
  • Group Sessions and Drug Group Sessions
  • Biblical Counseling

If you or someone you know needs help, please contact us at any time. We care about souls, and we've been here to help men and women from all walks of life find Jesus Christ and the change that only He can bring.

When Victory Gospel was founded in 1992, the sanctuary was the living room of a house on the corner of Montana and Gevers St. Bishop Banks and Prophetess Jackie Banks began the Church and worked diligently with the power of the Holy Spirit motivating and guiding their every move. Evangelism was at the heart of the ministry from its earliest moments and this deep love to share the Gospel sparked growth immediately.

The ministry grew, and eventually the living room where they were having church was no longer large enough to accomodate the people.
