CC Warriors (Nonprofit )

The CC Warriors is an all-inclusive 501c3 organization focusing on dance and mentorship. CC Warriors strives to work with all students, including low-income areas or with a disability, to develop self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership through the expression of dance. It is our duty to encourage students to make a difference in their community.

We are making our way around San Antonio with multiple school partnerships. Future plans include expanding the CC Warriors program to partner with adults as well.

Our History

The CC Warriors Organization began as a Girl Scout Gold Award Project in October 2011 by Rebecca Mendoza at one school in San Antonio.  The purpose of the Girl Scout Gold Award project is to create a long-lasting impact that can serve the community. Her vision was to connect students together through teamwork, build confidence and celebrate expression through the arts. Since then, the CC Warriors have participated in multiple performances including San Antonio Spurs games, Special Olympics, retirement homes, and multiple school functions. This organization began to break down the barrier between General and Special Education students through dance.

Through the CC Warriors program, students, including those with disabilities, develop teamwork and leadership skills while building self-confidence. We encourage community connections through volunteer opportunities, ultimately celebrating abilities through dance.
