San Antonio Community Resource Directory
Porter Loring Mortuaries (Business )

The concept of “family” guides everything we do. We are San Antonio’s most experienced family-owned funeral home, operating under the same family management since 1918. Our family, including our compassionate, professional team members, have created a legacy of caring for families as if they were our own. We believe that caring as a family means going beyond funeral services.

We also offer grief support groups at no charge, along with community workshops to provide support and education to those in the grief journey as well as caregivers. The death of a loved one is an emotionally trying time, but it should not be hectic. Trust the family San Antonio families have been turning to for four generations to take care of all the details, paperwork, arrangements, and support.

This is an ongoing group for middle-aged and younger men facing the challenges of losing their wives.  Their goal is to discover how to care for their families, manage their lives during their grief, and live in this world.

This is an eight-session Grief Support Class for middle-aged and younger women who face the special challenge of losing their husbands early in life. Attending all sessions is most beneficial, therefore no new participants are accepted after the second session.
