Painting, crafting, and other forms of creating art have proven to bring many benefits to our mental, emotional, and physical health. Relief from overwhelming emotions, trauma, and the stresses of everyday life as well as a more peaceful inner sense of being are a few of the experiences gained through creative expression.

We want to offer you the tools to tell your story. Whether that is through a personal journal or a sketchbook, with yarn or canvas, jewelry-making or crafting, we want to allow you to express yourself. We offer free-to-use supplies for many different activities, including:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Coloring books
  • Crochet
  • Puzzles
  • Crafts
  • Writing

Ages 14+.

If there is a particular craft or activity you like to do that we don’t have supplies for, we will do our best to get them.

If you would like to donate supplies for our Art and Creative Expression program, please email: [email protected].

Free.

Asking for help can be difficult, but everyone needs help sometimes. Counseling can be of benefit if you are depressed or anxious; if you are experiencing grief, trauma, or abuse; or if you are simply struggling with everyday life. Counseling can be a difficult process but also a deeply rewarding one. River City Advocacy’s counseling program serves New Braunfels, Comal County, and the surrounding areas.

We offer individual, couples, and family counseling by appointment.

Ages 14+.

Please contact us if you are interested in setting up an appointment with a counselor, or for more information, click here.

Fees for counseling are set based on income and family size, ensuring that working families and others in need in our community have the opportunity to afford the care they need.
