
The Workforce Development Office is focused on fostering collaboration between employers, partner agencies, and residents for the successful implementation of SA: Ready to Work.
Partnering with agencies, training, and education providers in addressing the workforce needs of large, mid-size, and small employers will improve the quality of life for residents of San Antonio and be an added dimension to the City's economic development efforts.
Ready to Work is an educational and job placement program to help thousands of San Antonians improve their quality of life.

SA: Ready to Work is open to thousands of San Antonio residents who are:
- at least 18 years old;
- permitted to work in the US;
- a resident of the City of San Antonio;
- income less than 250% of federal poverty guidelines ($36,450 for an individual or $75,000 for a household of four);
- willing to take assessments relating to barriers, academics, skills aptitude, and workplace readiness;
- committed to finishing the program.
