Serenity House (Nonprofit )

23 million Americans struggle with addiction—and it’s not something anyone plans. But there is hope. Addiction is a treatable brain disease that we at Serenity House understand.

Serenity House loves you exactly where you are and offers the resources that empower you to create positive change in your life. Since 1984, we have helped over 30,000 people break free from drug and alcohol addiction. We do this not only for you, but for your loved ones, because we know addiction can be as painful for families and friends as it is for the one with the disease. Every individual is unique, so we tailor treatment to your specific needs.

This beautiful treatment center is nestled in the heart of the Texas hill country, just outside of historic Fredericksburg. Known for its peach orchards, vineyards, and historic downtown, Fredericksburg epitomizes rest, relaxation, and retreat. It is the perfect setting for our patients to get away from the status quo and find freedom from drug and alcohol addiction.

The residential treatment program at the Fredericksburg treatment center accommodates 32 patients. Patients in need of detoxification will be sent to our Abilene campus for detox before beginning the residential treatment program in Fredericksburg.

Our Fredericksburg campus is staffed by highly-trained, licensed counselors from a variety of backgrounds.  Our counselors know that reclaiming one’s life is no easy task; it is a step-by-step process that requires an immense amount of support.  That is why every patient is given a personalized treatment plan that involves one-on-one counseling, group counseling, education, health and fitness time, relaxation, family counseling, and many other crucial recovery services.

This plan will involve group counseling, individual counseling, classes and group processing, fitness and nutrition, and regular twelve-step meetings. We aim to treat the primary addiction to drugs and alcohol with an eye to the patient’s particular situation, especially any complicating factors – cross-addiction, co-occurring conditions, mental health conditions, etc.
