NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. As one of over 600 local affiliates, NAMI Guadalupe County serves all of Guadalupe County, Texas. Operationally, we are an extension of the NAMI State Organization, NAMI Texas.

We work to educate, advocate, listen and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones. We have a variety of education and support programs directed to individuals living with mental illness, family members, friends, professionals, other stakeholders, and the community at large to address the mental health needs of our community. We work to inform the public about mental illness by distributing information about mental illness through various means of communication.

Our office is in Emanuel's Lutheran Church, in downtown Seguin. We're on the third floor, Room 303 at the end of the hall. The address is 206 North Travis Street, but the main door is on Mountain Street, near the corner of Bowie Street. The door remains locked, and our office is only staffed part time. So, contact us before visiting.

Are you an adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition? If so, our NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group can help. We provide a safe, accepting, and confidential setting to learn from the challenges and successes of others. Our trained facilitators also have mental health conditions. They lead our meetings with respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope.

NAMI’s support groups are unique because we follow a structured model to ensure we hear you and you get what you need.

Email John Bushnell for more information: [email protected].

We meet at Seguin's First United Methodist Church (the Pumpkin Patch church). Our room is the Hierholzer Hall. Enter from the back parking lot.
