Since 1998, the Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County has been offering supplemental food to 10-20% of the families in the county. The Food Pantry's mission is to alleviate hunger and promote healthy eating for residents in need. No one in Jeff Davis County should go hungry. If you are experiencing a food crisis contact the Food Pantry for help.
The pantry provides four bi-monthly distributions each month to Fort Davis, the Davis Mountains Resort, and Valentine. It also stocks a kids pantry at Jeff Davis County Library with lunch food and snacks.

The Kids Pantry is stocked with family-friendly foods suitable for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Any FDISD middle and high school student may come to the library and get a free lunch from the Kids Pantry.
There are no applications, no income requirements, and no personal information is collected. If you are a hungry kid you can stop by the library and get food. This is available to ALL Jeff Davis County children, age 0 through high school graduation.
