Girl With Grit (Nonprofit )

Girl with Grit is a grassroot 501c3 nonprofit that empowers girls through hands-on learning opportunities to develop life skills, career paths, and passions.

Camp Girl With Grit is an intensive but fun life skills camp for female youth ages 8-22.  Over the course of classes, youth learn about the skills it takes to survive.  We engage students with fun, hands-on learning, and projects.

The camps quickly saturate basic life skills that are needed for independent living.  Camps have been called potentially life-saving and life-changing by law enforcement and behavioral scientists.

  • Hands-on Tools - Learn about tools and build a birdhouse.
  • Drive and Thrive - Learn how to change a tire, jump a battery, practice roadside safety, and perform vehicle maintenance.
  • Cookies and Construction - Learn about various elements of construction over cookies.
  • Household 911 - How to handle some simple and some scary emergencies.
  • Home Economics - Culinary skills on the fly, hanging curtains, patching jeans or a hole in the wall.
  • Into the Wild - Learn basic wilderness survival.
