San Antonio Community Resource Directory

Mission Statement:
Transforming lives through the love of Jesus.

Vision:
Our vision is to help all people to come to know the unconditional love of Jesus, to experience that love each day and to share that love with others. Our hope is that everyone who comes in contact with our church family or ministries may experience life-changing transformation through Jesus Christ. We will accomplish this by accepting all people, serving our community, caring for those we know or encounter and caring for one another. Our vision is to be a place and people who express the unconditional acceptance, love and grace of Jesus.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

Threads of Love

Purpose: To aid and support premature babies and their families through various crafted and collected items.  Guiding scripture: Matthew 25:40 “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Meeting Place: ACE building across from the main sanctuary.

Meeting Date/Time: Weekly, Wednesday 9:00 AM - 12:00pm.

How you can help: Join us in taking care of these precious babies and their families.

Bunco

Purpose: This group meets on a monthly basis for a potluck lunch, devotional, and fellowship by playing BUNCO. There is a donation of $5.00 to play, however we use this money to sponsor our World Vision child and support various other charities. We also encourage participation in a yearly service project.

Regular Meeting Place & Time: The first Wednesday of every month from noon to 2:00 PM in the church fellowship hall. If the first Wednesday is a holiday, then we won’t meet and will get together the next month.

How you can help: Ladies BUNCO is comprised of 16 regular members and additional substitutes. Our BUNCO group is always looking for more women to add to our sub list or the wait list for regular members. It’s a fun way to meet fellow St. Paul disciples.

Join our Red Roof Readers

Purpose: The book club forms strong relationships among our participants as each month a chosen book stimulates conversation among this open-ended group.  We are always eager to include more participation.

Regular Meeting Place & Time: Fellowship Hall on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM.

How you can help: Bring a snack and be willing to share and have fun in fellowship with one another.

Women of the Word (W.O.W.)

Join us in the fellowship hall

A representative from the Mammen Family Public Library will be with us to talk about the services they offer as well as volunteer opportunities.
There will be potluck dinner with drinks provided.

Men's Life

Purpose: Men's Life provides you, St Paul men, the opportunity to help with small projects around the church, and in the community at times.

We also have a month gathering where we spend time together informally.

We begin with Fellowship where private, or group, discussions take place about a wide variety of topics/interests.  Fellowship if followed by dinner prepared by someone in our group.

Next on the agenda is a short Devotional given by the Pastor, or other men in the church.  On occasion there will be a guest speaker in lieu of a devotional.  Guests are always invited to Men' Life.

Regular Meeting Time and Place: Knibbe Ranch on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  (Watch the monthly Epistle, and weekly bulletin, for announcements and contact information.)

How you can help: Join our group for small projects and yard work when needed, in addition to supporting the outreach programs offered by other organizations around church.

Please contact Randy Fischer for more info and to RSVP

Tired and Retired

Purpose: “Tired and Retired” focuses primarily on Seniors, but age 55 and older are welcome. Fellowship includes board games, dominoes, field trips, and other activities as suggested and arranged by members. The Pastor, other Church staff or T&R members will provide a brief devotional. There are not any dues or membership fees, but contributions to worthy causes are funded by donations and recycling of aluminum cans. Bring a dish to share for a potluck.

Regular Meeting Place & Time: Fellowship Hall on the last Wednesday of the month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

How you can help: Each month join the “Tired and Retired” group for a fun time and a wonderful learning experience.
