SSTSA, Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of San Antonio is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed by devotees who share the love and are inspired by the life and teachings of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, a saint of the present century of Indian origin practiced multi-religious philosophies of Hinduism, Christianity, and Islamic religion encouraging the oneness of God. Baba lived to unite people from different ethnicities, and religions and to inspire everyone to realize oneness with God. Baba promised the suffering of humanity, material success, happiness, and prosperity through his eleven solemn assurances.
SSTSA’s mission is to promote the philosophy, teachings, and principles of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and to support religious, spiritual, cultural, educational, and charitable activities in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
SSTSA’s vision is to establish a permanent Sri Shirdi Sai Temple in San Antonio and facilitate worship services to devotees.
- Shirdi Sai Devotional Group of San Antonio was started by a group of ardent devotees of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba in the month of December 2013.
- Bhajans/Noon aarti was conducted at the devotees' home every Saturday.
- Sri Shirdi Sai Baba temple was opened in July 2014 during Gurupurnima at a leased location.
- Temple land (4.73 acres at 12911 Babcock Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78249), was bought in August 2016 with a bank loan.
- The new temple project was initiated in October 2016.
- Maha Khumbhabhishekam on December 1st 2019.
Our main mission is to religiously follow the teachings and principles of Sai Baba and serve the community.
The Temple is open to ALL from all backgrounds and faiths. The Temple provides a place and an atmosphere for devotees to worship Sai Baba; sponsors charitable programs in the San Antonio area; and facilitates special events for devotees to celebrate festivals.
