San Antonio Community Resource Directory

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), is the most effective intervention to treat opioid use disorder. Combining the models of psychosocial therapy and the FDA-approved medication Suboxone, MAT significantly reduces illicit opioid use compared with nondrug approaches and increases access to therapies that can reduce overdose fatalities.

MAT has been shown to:

  • Improve patient survival
  • Increase retention in treatment
  • Decrease illicit opiate use
  • Increase clients’ ability to gain and maintain employment

Some MAT Services Include:

  • Individual counseling sessions included in rate
  • Access to Cenikor’s Telehealth services to help maintain treatment
  • Seamless transfer into Cenikor’s residential services
  • Referrals to community-based services
  • Patient-specific treatment plan

After initial screenings and assessments to determine eligibility, Cenikor will work with the client to keep them informed on the progress of their treatment. With access to our experienced nursing staff, resident physicians, professional counselors, and convenient telehealth technology, clients can experience a seamless transition into outpatient treatment to ease them back into everyday life as sober citizen.
