All of our programs have income and asset/resource limits and are generally designed for low- and mid-income residents. The Medical Program of Big Bend Health provides comprehensive coverage for preventative and emergency medical care for eligible residents of Brewster and Presidio Counties. 

• For low-income and low-resource county residents
• $30,000 maximum annual benefit
• Includes preventative dental (annual check up and cleaning) and vision coverage (bi-annual check up and pair of glasses)
• Limited medical supplies such as wheelchairs, cane, diabetic supplies, etc.
• Can provide retroactive coverage up to 3 months prior to application to pay for emergency medical bills 
• Must meet income and resource/asset eligibility limits

The Prescription Assistance Program of Big Bend Health provides coverage for medications for eligible residents of Brewster or Presidio County that have Medicare medical coverage, but no coverage for medications (Part D).

• Annual benefit of $5,000 in medications with a $5.00 co-pay per medication
• Must meet income and resources eligibility requirements
