The RX Grant program of Big Bend Health provides free medication for low- and mid-income residents of Brewster or Presidio County for many of the more expensive medications.

You must be a resident of Brewster or Presidio County to be eligible for our programs and be categorically ineligible for Medicaid. All of our programs have income and asset/resource limits and are generally designed for low- and mid-income residents. There are a number of exclusions and deductions that can apply for individuals, so there is no easy answer to determine eligibility—eligibility is always done on a case-by-case basis. 

The only cost for Big Bend Health programs is a $5.00 co-pay for medications. All covered medical procedures or doctor visits are at no cost to the client.
