Eligible applicants residing in San Antonio may continue to qualify for rental assistance covering up to three consecutive months, which can include past due, current, and future rent, with a maximum total of $3,500. Additionally, applicants may receive up to $1,500 for utility assistance.

Applicants who have received rental assistance from NHSD programs within the past 12 months will not be eligible for a new award

NHSD will offer monthly application openings to ensure that rental assistance is available throughout the year, rather than restricting the application window to only two or three times annually.

San Antonio's Neighborhood and Housing Services Division will also continue to support households in need with a variety of resources such as the Resident Relocation Assistance Program. Also, the Eviction Intervention Team remains active at all precinct courts, providing the latest information on intervention services and free legal aid resources.
