This program prepares students for an entry level position as a Nurse's Aid in a Health Facility. 

Students recieve an Introduction to:

  • Anatomy and Physiology 
  • Medical Terminology 
  • Infection Control
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Safety and Emergencies 
  • Patients Rights
  • Death and Dying
  • Medical Law and Ethical Treatment 
  • Basic Nursing Skills
  • Patient Care

Students learn the necessary skills to successfully complete the State of Texas skills and written examination. 

Upon successful completion, of this program, graduates may recieve a CPR and First Aid Certification, a certificate of completion and may be eigible to test for the State of Texas skills and written certification examination. 

Admission Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Valid State of Texas ID or Driver License
  • High School  Diploma or GED.
  • Social Security Card
  • TB Test (Assistance Available) 
  • Meningitis Immunization

Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
