This program prepares students for an entry level position as a Nurse's Aid in a Health Facility.
Students recieve an Introduction to:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Medical Terminology
- Infection Control
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Safety and Emergencies
- Patients Rights
- Death and Dying
- Medical Law and Ethical Treatment
- Basic Nursing Skills
- Patient Care
Students learn the necessary skills to successfully complete the State of Texas skills and written examination.
Upon successful completion, of this program, graduates may recieve a CPR and First Aid Certification, a certificate of completion and may be eigible to test for the State of Texas skills and written certification examination.
Admission Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid State of Texas ID or Driver License
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Social Security Card
- TB Test (Assistance Available)
- Meningitis Immunization
