“Coffee & Conversation” is a safe place to talk about God at work in our lives and the world around us through the text of a book.

This class is for adults and meets each Sunday from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM in the St. Mark’s Meeting Room upstairs in the Leadership Center between services.

We offer coffee, tea, cinnamon rolls, a classroom set of Bibles, the current book we are reading, and plenty of friendly folks. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend as each class stands alone, which makes it easy for new people to join the conversation.

For more information, contact [email protected], and we will put you in contact with Paul & Peggy Forester.

At Live More Recovery™...

We have found that the principles of recovery, including the 12 Steps, empathy, connection, open-mindedness, and self-compassion, are common solutions to complex problems.

We have designed our services to be welcoming to any person, regardless of their "obsession."

We focus on the solution rather than the problem.

We are open to many paths to recovery.

We recognize that we all have something to teach each other.

We aren't here to "fix" each other, but we will provide support, share what has worked for us, and help you discover new paths to travel to enhance your recovery.

(Park in the back of the church by the small buses. We meet in the Child Development Center on the second floor. There is an elevator. The Child Development Center is the building furthest southwest on the property. Enter through the doors on the back side of the building. If the door is locked, knock loudly, and we will come down and open it for you.)

If you can't make the live meeting, join us via Zoom. Email us for Zoom log-on information.

Many educators have questions about how to align instruction with the science of teaching reading after professional development.

Implementing and integrating the science of teaching reading in classroom instruction is complex, time consuming and can be overwhelming without the right support.

Implementation Services:

  • TX Reads develops implementation plans for the science of teaching reading during and after the Texas Reading Academy. We work with educators to bridge professional development to practice by:
  • Building upon teacher knowledge of key concepts to help educators navigate new information;
  • Customize in-person and virtual training, workshops, presentations, and coaching in evidence-based literacy instruction based on partner needs and our expertise;
  • Breaking the science of reading into logical implementation steps so teachers apply new information and skills in daily instruction and master new skills over time.

We partner with educators to systematically build the capacity of campus instructional coaches and teachers through focused professional development “refreshers,” coaching and learning support.

We’re focused on helping teachers develop and apply data-driven instructional decision making for highly effective instruction, including: assessment, progress monitoring, and skill-based grouping.
