Spiritual Care near
We are a bilingual congregation.
Stephen Ministers extend the care of the congregations to those with a variety of needs.
First Presbyterian Church's Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
We all experience challenges in life - times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty such as:
- Loss of a loved one
- Hospitalization
- Divorce or separation
- Loneliness or discouragement
- Spiritual crisis
- Unemployment or a job crisis
- Chronic or terminal illness
- Incarceration
- Aging
- Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility
- Relocation
- Recovery after an accident or disaster
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry: the identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private.
Stephen Ministry is open to the public; church membership is not required.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter emphasizes communication between husband and wife, who spend a weekend together away from the distractions and the tensions of everyday life to concentrate on each other. Its mission of renewal in the Church and change in the world is to assist couples and priests in living fully intimate and responsible relationships by providing them with a Catholic "experience" and ongoing community support for such a lifestyle.
The Marriage Encounter Community (also called Love Circle, circle, board, etc.) is a monthly gathering that supports couples who have made a Marriage Encounter Weekend by encouraging their Sacramental Unions with prayer, presentation, dialogue, and sharing of feelings. The presentation deals with some aspects of the marital relationship. The community supports the Church by furthering another ministry within the parish and the local area of Marriage Encounter by promoting and assisting with the weekend.
Marriage Encounter is not a retreat, a marriage clinic, or group sensitivity. It's a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriage.

Welcome! We're a Christ-focused community, doing our best to love and serve others.
Church is a refuge from the chaos of everyday life. Attending services gives us time to worship God and associate with others who are trying to be better and live more as Jesus did. It’s a spiritual recharge and helps us throughout the week.
We’d be thrilled to see you on Sunday!

We offer optional programming for those who desire to incorporate Christian beliefs into their recovery.
Many Christians struggle alone with chemical dependency for fear of rejection. At La Hacienda, we recognize addiction as a serious disease, rather than moral inadequacy, that affects the mind, body, and spirit. For those who desire to incorporate their Christian faith into their recovery, group and individual counseling is provided which includes recognition of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Those patients who desire to participate in the Christian focus groups do so in addition to all other programming. Our clinical staff includes a minister who facilitates five groups each week.
These special counseling groups explore:
- Biblical scripture and the relationship to the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
- The spiritual nature of human relationships
- The importance of forgiveness in healing
- Other essential components of spirituality in recovery
- Gaining insight into the important aspects of recovery, and learning how it interrelates with Christian faith, helps our patients experience renewed hope from their core beliefs.
Visitation time is reserved for those wishing to visit with a pastor or priest. Our staff minister is available for individual counseling and assistance for patients, family members, and area pastors, as requested.

We are a Christ-centered congregation that seeks to connect with God and others. We strive to encourage one another in song, grow in God’s word, and lift one another up in prayer as we glorify our Father in heaven. We are by no means perfect, but we strive to walk in the footsteps of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
On a typical Sunday, we begin our bible study at 9:30. We have different classes to meet the needs of all stages of life. This is a time to dig deep into God’s word as we discuss its relevance to our lives today.
Following our bible class, beginning at 10:30 and usually finishing around 11:45, we enter into our worship time. We open our hearts to God in songs, and prayers by remembering the Lord in communion and listening to a portion of God’s word.
We believe it is important that everyone have a chance to worship God in their own language. That is why we offer an opportunity for our Spanish speakers to worship and hear a sermon in Spanish.
The Church has so many gifts, and we use them for God's glory and the good of His people. We pray that you find all the ways that God wants to use you!
Everybody is welcome!
Both traditional and contemporary services are offered every Sunday, and both include Holy Communion. All are welcome. Click here to learn more.
Nursery care is provided in Room B of the Children’s Wing. Temperature checks occur prior to entry.
