Toddler classrooms are designed to nurture your child’s development while providing an environment where children are encouraged to explore, create and learn.

Our teachers create a warm and friendly classroom setting for your child to thrive. During active play, a child’s mind, body, and emotions develop, and true learning takes place.

We understand the transition into childcare can be difficult for parents and children. Here at Mi Casa, we have an open-door policy for parents to come to check on their children at any time. Parents can also call or come by to check on their child anytime.

Your child will experience:

  • solving problems encountered in exploration and play do things for themselves

The University Baptist Church WEE School is a Weekday Early Education preschool ministry that is an outreach to the community providing Christian education for children 6 months old through PreK4. WEE School, has been a ministry of University Baptist Church since 1980, providing a learning environment that helps preschoolers grow as Jesus grew.

Our goal is to provide the loving care and guidance that your child needs as he/she grows and develops.

WEE School uses weekly letters and themes to teach the children about the world around them through a biblical perspective. We incorporate age-appropriate art activities, large and small motor skills, and Biblical principles into these weekly themes. This curriculum provides children opportunities to explore the world while allowing them to develop at his/her own pace. Special Events are scheduled throughout the year coordinating with the weekly themes.

Girl Scout Troop 2346 aims to empower girls by providing opportunities to explore the world around them while developing leadership and team-building skills.

Currently, our troop comprises elementary, middle, and high school girls working toward the bronze, silver, and gold awards, respectively.  The girls work on level-specific service, skill-building, and personal growth projects throughout the year.  Some of the activities we have planned for the year include camping, kickball, VFW service projects, nursing home visits, supporting Habitat for Humanity, a holiday riverboat ride, and obstacle courses.

Our girls work hard on nut and cookie sales yearly to raise money for their activities.  We have lots of fun too!  Our girls enjoyed outings to a local roller rink, a trampoline park, and Schlitterbahn this summer.

We look forward to another fun, engaging, and productive year ahead!

Early intervention services help young children with disabilities achieve their goals in cognitive, social/emotional, communicative, adaptive, and physical development. Through a team approach, children and their families are given the education, tools, strategies, and services they need to help them reach their maximum potential. Services may include occupational therapy to help an infant learn to hold her bottle, physical therapy to help her learn to roll over, or speech therapy to help her learn to eat. Most early intervention services take place in the home or, in the case of working parents, at childcare facilities in the local community.

What makes Brighton Center different?

  • Family-Driven: ECI acknowledges that parents are natural teachers because they know their children best.Parents and/or caregivers are an important part of the interdisciplinary team and goals are written with parent involvement to be functional and a part of the child’s daily routine. ECI is manageable for the parent and we work to help the parent become their child’s biggest advocate.
  • Case Management: Every child enrolled in ECI has a case manager assigned to their family who will coordinate services, work with the child’s doctors, and connect the family with appropriate resources and information based on their individual needs.
  • Specialized Skills Training (SST): SST is a unique service provided only by ECI. SST supports development across domains with an emphasis on strengthening cognitive skills, positive behavior, and social interactions.

This program is for babies and infants (newborn to 3 years) with disabilities.

The following services are provided at no cost to families regardless of income:

  • Evaluation Assessments
  • Development of the Indivudual Family Service Plan (IFSP)

Communities In Schools programs surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Our evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community’s unique needs, is the basis for our success.

Basic Needs: A student cannot focus in the classroom if he or she is hungry, cold or tired, or cannot see the board. Site coordinators see to it that students' basic needs are met each day.

Enrichment: Our Site coordinators enroll students in a wide variety of after-school and summer programs, field trips and youth conferences to help them gain experience that is essential to meeting college and career goals.

Academic Assistance: Our site coordinators work hard to ensure that students have the resources to progress academically. From providing students with tutors to finding and creating quiet spaces where students can study, we do whatever it takes to create an optimal learning environment for our students.

Life Skills: Through one-on-one workshops, team building, and guest speakers, we work with students to develop social-emotional learning, character education, social skills building, and conflict resolution.

Behavioral Interventions: Many of our students face and overcome difficult obstacles in their lives. However, their survival skills aren’t always effective in the classroom or in the workplace. Our program teaches students positive ways to cope with anger, conflict resolution, and other strategies to keep them focused on school.

Family Engagement: Site coordinators connect families with counselors and social workers to make sure that home is a healthy, nurturing environment where a student can feel safe.

The Pathways Youth Program provides interactive, educational enrichment activities that emphasize art, music, and literacy in an environment of cooperative learning. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM to children over the age of 6. During this time Resident Coordinators assist youth with their homework. After homework is completed, youth participate in a structured educational activity. These activities reinforce math, science, reading, and creative thinking while incorporating art, music, and cooking.

In the summer, hours are extended and additional programs and field trips are added. Summer programming differs from year to year because, unlike traditional summer camp where children are grouped with youngsters of the same age, ACG children work together cooperatively in groups that frequently span many ages. This experience more closely replicates the experience these children have in their home environment where siblings and neighborhood friends come from many age groups.

This program is open to the public.

We offer three preschool programs to meet all families' needs.

Every class follows a daily schedule so the children know what to expect daily.  All classes participate daily in music, art, bible stories, and centers.  Lessons are based on Christian values and traditions and interpretations of events occurring in our daily lives.

Learning is gained through many experiences.  Emphasis on interaction with other children and adults is vital to developing social, language, and academic readiness skills.  Children's large and fine motor skills are enhanced with art, play, and music.  We believe that PLAY is the best way for children to learn.  Click here for more information.

Tuition is a monthly fee regardless of how many school days are in the month. Tuition is due in full at the beginning of the month.

The registration fee is $65 per child, non-refundable, and due upon registration.

All programs occur 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, but the days of the week vary by program.

Head Start promotes school readiness by encouraging parent involvement and through children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.

Head Start aims for every child to be:

  • Achieving developmental milestones
  • Safe, healthy, and well
  • School ready
  • Forming positive relationships

Family Service Head Start is much more than child care; it’s quality early childhood education that includes:

  • Research-Based Curricula Lesson plans are built around research on children’s development and learning and promote positive progress and outcomes.
  • Family Engagement Parents' and caregivers' involvement in their children’s education has a long-term impact on their child’s success. Our Centers make it easy for parents to be involved.
  • Lower Ratios Our classrooms have fewer students per teacher, allowing for more individualized care and attention.
  • Wraparound Services Resources and services are provided to help the child and family thrive.

The age requirement for our Head Start Prekindergarten Program is three years old on or before September 1.
