  • Couples Therapy

In couple’s therapy, clients are able to work to improve relationship quality with the help of a trained therapist in a 45-50 minute session. Couples explore what is helping or hindering their relationship, how to set and communicate healthy boundaries, and can increase feelings of connection and closeness during this process. This type of therapy can help identify what may be causing strain within a relationship or address specific problems with various forms of therapeutic intervention.

  • Family Therapy

Family therapy is a type of group therapy that works with family members to identify familial patterns or behaviors that cause relational strain or individual issues. With the help of a therapist trained in familial counseling, family members can focus on changing destructive patterns and behavior, improving relationships, and enhancing communication. Over the course of family therapy sessions, family members can be guided through problem-solving techniques that can fuel solid, stable, healthier, and happier relationships with one another.

In group therapy, a client is paired with other clients that are experiencing similar issues and guided through productively discussing what they are going through in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.

Though every client involved in the group may be at different stages of their treatment process, discussing shared experience and having others to relate to can greatly relieve feelings of isolation or disconnection.

With time, clients can learn to find validation in the balance between their own and others’ experiences and develop coping skills to maintain a healthy and stable life.

Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCD) are a group of conditions that affect around 2% of the population. These disorders impact people’s lives in a real and frequently devastating manner.

OCD compels people to exhibit behavior or experience thoughts that seem to be out of their control. Further, these thoughts and behaviors often feel mandatory, as if they are not a choice…people feel that they must complete these rituals to feel “OK”. That is a powerless position, one that many endure daily in their battle against their symptoms of anxiety and distress.

River Bend Counseling is partnering with The OCD Clinics to provide a variety of treatment options. Depending on your schedule and need, we provide traditional outpatient treatment or a more frequent format, the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). IOP is appropriate for those who have more severe symptoms or who are ready to focus on recovery in a four-day-per-week format.

OCD often responds to evidence-based approaches called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, specifically Exposure/Response Prevention (E/RP). Our approach is to provide treatment in the clinic and the community. We tailor the specific Treatment Plan based on the specific needs of each client.

Our staff have received extensive, advanced clinical training in the implementation of OCD treatment techniques. Our clinicians are BTTI Graduates.

The Catalyst is a holistic therapeutic program dedicated to providing all Military Women with the Tools; Techniques; Personal and Professional Strategies needed for building fulfilling and successful Military/post-military/civilian lives.

The Catalyst program examines the traumatic event and subsequent development of post-traumatic stress disorder. We learn to recognize the underlying emotional pain that fuels specific behaviors. We begin the process of healing these emotions through a combination of clinical therapy, holistic approaches, and experiential modalities. We understand that trauma and PTSD treatment is visceral, sensory, and cellular. Our team focuses on building trust, creating a safe environment, and steps towards recovery with the involvement of the family or caregiver. Our team is specifically trained in handling participants who suffer from trauma and PTSD.

The complexity of PTSD and existence of additional symptoms calls for special resources, a variety of treatment options, frequent monitoring, and support offered by The Catalyst program. We provide these services to ensure you receive the best treatment possible in a warm, nurturing environment. A therapeutic retreat program such as The Catalyst is one of the most effective forms of intervention available, as it allows you the opportunity to work through your problems while leaving the stress of your environment to focus on what truly matters : RECOVERY.

Adaya
by Chosen

Our Adaya program helps youths without a permanent placement know they are valued and cherished.  Our personnel coaches engage with these young people, not just as therapists, but as partners to help them build attachment and start a journey towards healing.  Coaches are going to the youth, wherever their temporary placement is, to ensure they receive the trauma-responsive intervention they need and deserve.

When a placement is identified for these youth, Chosen's staff "follow the child," helping the transition to a family ensuring stability and higher success rates.  This essential component is critical to help youth heal in safe, loving, and permanent relationships.
